2001 Rover 75 2.5 V6 Connie SE Auto

Well I've tried the swap thing, so here's the for sale thing. I thought it best to start afresh. Am totally unable to decide what I want car-wise, so I thought a clearing of the decks might give me some cash and head space.

So here we go:

Here's the car (from Wilko220's ad):

I've cleaned the leather which has come up lovely, fitted monogram head rests - cos I could. Fitted a replacement N/S front pillar trim and put a poxy star crack in the screen. Luckily this is outside of the prescribed MOT zone. I was going to get it done when insured.

The Big Rover is in a barn in Essex. It is MOT'd until some point in late'ish December. It even has petrol in it. It starts first turn of the key and runs and drives as sweet as. It truly does.

Happy to consider offers. Reasonable offers.

Cheers

Ken

NB: Excellent quality bacon and sausage sandwich will be available for the buyer upon exchange of cash monies.

Billy, can I not tempt you with leather and a V6?  :-D

If anyone buys this before I get the money (ergo about 2053) I'm going to personally e-kick their virtual heads in.

^^You can't have it, it's too posh for you and it's not a Vauxhall.

Excuse me, I have a fleet of six executive vehicles* here, only two of which are Vauxhalls.

*Two of them are two wheelers, one of the others was a GM product.

Folks, am looking at trying to get around 300 quid for the car or close. Not a lot of pounds for such a tidy car tbh.

That's ridiculous value.

There will not be a better car available at that price.

Rover 75s do nothing for me (although MM5's Tourer was a good steer).

That's such value even I like it. The thought of becoming one of the AROnline cru depresses me however, so I'm out on those grounds.

Cor blimey that is tempting, just dont know if I can be bothered with the 'ag of selling my E36 first or I defo would have that Rover tomorrow (and get some proper Connie crown alloys for it)

Oh dear, that is very tempting. Thankfully I have no money right now and I won't for a small while. Plus I've been offered a Rover 45 1.8 which I might swap against the ZT auto Tinworm has for sale.

I can't believe how cheap this Rover is.  What's wrong with it, for that price?

I did spot that, but until I see it, or a pic of it, I'm prepared to assume that it's fixable.  Also, Ken describes it as being outside the MoT zone, so not something to worry about immediately.  Unless others know different?

Surely something one could get sorted on the insurance if it becomes an issue? (crack in screen)

For that money you may as well play cambelt roulette.

Or buy it and just look at it?

Any advisories to be concerned about Ken?

DUGONG DELIVERY POSSIBLE?

I'm sure it would be, Jon, but at the moment, nothing to deliver and nowhere to deliver it to/from.  Patience, young man, patience...

Now that's my kind of barge - is it true that when you pull away at traffic lights baby seals start clubbing themselves to death in anticipation of the environmental destruction from the V6? Gives me goosebumps just thinking about it...

They're not that bad on petrol.  I ran one a few years after they came out, they're GR8.

The star crack is about the size of a yoghurt pot top in the very bottom left hand corner. 75 quid via insurance.

GLWTS Ken. If used sparingly like wot I'm doing with mine then sod the fuel bill, 'tis a lovely smooth engine in these.

I don't think that it had any advisories but will check tomorrow as a matter of course.

Well folks, an offer has been made and accepted. If anything changes I will update accordingly. The AS person has asked their identity to be kept mysterious like, so I haz to respect that.

Ah so, Tetleysmooth likey, do I get commission if he buys?

I'm going for Barry Shitbeans

A mate of mine was after it, but instead of send a PM he spent the night procrastinating over it instead.

If you're not fast, you're last! Hope its gone to a worthy shiter.
