After another gumtree 'buyer' tonight I'm pleased to offer my Alfa for the knock down shiters price of £600 :)

Here's my ad from Gumtree (please don't laugh too much)

Alfa Romero 156 2.4 JTD, MOT'd till May 2015, only 82,000 miles

Beautiful Italian saloon, cambelt and tensioner changed at 70,000 miles. New thermostat and full coolant flush and change. Oil last changed at 77,000. Recent new battery

Bad Points
Rear passenger door has some creases in as can be seen in the photos
Clutch is biting at the top of the pedal but doesn't slip

Good Points
CD player with USB and aux input for iPod/iPhone, etc
16" Alloy wheels with good tread on all tyres
Rear passenger air vents
Driver, passenger and seat airbags
ABS
Power steering

Remote Central locking

As this is the Lusso (luxuxy) trim level is has following extra features
Electric windows all round
Electric and heated door mirrors
Automatic climate control
MOMO black leather interior with no rips or tears
Front driver's folding armrest
Rear passengers folding armrest
Front fog lamps

Stunning performance with diesel fuel economy, a very worthy BMW alternative with Italian Flair

Looks a good buy.

I take the mongtree buyer wanted you to sort the door, give weekly payments and a12 month warranty?

Now that's a lot of car for £600, and it looks bang tidy too.

Helluva colour, but rather suits it and is a very welcome relief from silver.

Good luck.

I quite fancy this - and you're just up the road. Clutch is apparently an absolute pig to change though, I guess thats why its not sold already.. looks a nice car otherwise

He wasn't a bad guy, I think he was just one of those guys that just likes chatting to people. We spoke about the car for an hour and he didn't even test drive it.

Just sold this tonight for £600, buyer got a good bargain.

The problem I have is he paid a deposit tonight and wants to pay the rest and pick up the car later this week. I would like to get as much car tax back from the DVLA as I can. If he picks it up on Thursday and I date the V5 with this date (30th October) and send it to the DVLA, will I still get the whole of November back or is the full month tax refund based on the date they receive it rather than the date of the sale?

I think it is date of sale. Well done on selling. The AR seats always look lovely. Nice one!

thats a result. Getting to that time of year where its hard to sell anything, and I feared the clutch was stopping it finding a home. Nice work!

I'm pretty sure your refund goes on date of sale now that the rules have changed. Get it posted sharpish once he collects on thursday,
