Antidote to the AS Facebook Page.

As a lot of us genuine shitecore stalwarts find the prospect of perusing the Autoshite Facebook page as appealing as contracting bovine aids from an angry bull, how about we share a few groups/pages worth viewing/joining?

I'll start with Retroshite. Which is always worth a look.

I've found no groups that are mong free. There will always be some illiterate cockwhisk with a dog as his profile picture determined to tell you everything not Mk2 Escort shaped is shit 'LOL'.

"Vergessene auto klassiker" isn't bad, a nice variety of stuff, in varying condition, quite a few barn find and abandoned car dealership type pictures.

Only slight problem is its all in German, but still worth a look.

Me and a mate started one called "East Coast Retros", we now have just under 1000 members but it's more East Anglia based but touch wood we don't have many mongs posting on there as most people know each other.

The Volvo Amazon group was good until a seller I tried to help out started throwing rocks at me for suggesting he might want to put more effort into his advert.

There's a group as well but it's dead and I don't really promote it as it's a waste of time. the page https://www.facebook.com/Retroshite

I created last year after setting up a retro car meet at a disused farm. It's pretty much a lazy spotters thread, blog about the shite cars we buy and trips to scrapyards and vehicle graveyards etc...

We've got around 10 admins who post infrequently, I'm always on the lookout for people who can contribute to the shite spotting and stuff like that.

I keep an eye on AROnlines facebook page, and the BXClubs facebook page but thats about it, and by "keeping an eye" I do mean in a very half arsed way.

Facebook is full of utter twats full stop.

I know this to be fact because I am on there.

I find the AROnline page has it's fair share of argumentative and deluded wazzocks. Perhaps we should start an Autoshite 999 Facebook page for when the other page goes to total bollocks,

I do like to look at this forum so I am not deluded by FBAS who seem to keep telling me that the definition of shite has actually changed.

I find this place reassuring as it obviously hasn't.

I use Scottish Corsa B's (sic), V4xhl.co.uk, and Astra Bertone Owners Club FB groups as they're the only places on the whole of the internet where no small-dicked self righteous wazoc will post up infantile replies when I ask for help. Bought a lot of bits for my Corsa on the Scottish site and can get in touch with people there fir hard to find parts. AS is the only intelligent (in the main) place online that I have ever found.

I think we should start a FB group where the suitability of the applicant is judged solely on their profile picture. Cars pictured must actually be owned, facial pictures must be demure and families and parents of children must not look 'remarkably' similar to one another. Couples pictured in 'zany' poses, Nissan Skylines, topless males and anyone wearing sunglasses will result in the applicant being sent away. Dogs are fine but no cats or any weird pet shit.
