I think it's now in the UK and was bid to some fantastic amount last year on Ebay, £38k or something. No chance of any phantom bidders there then.

It is what the Victorians would call a folly.  That is to say, it's a spectacle but serves no practical function.

A trip to Yes Tescos would be enough for the interior to give you cancer. Fairly pedestrian friendly exterior though. Plus when it's sagged out you can insulate your shed with it.

I don't think that the local show offs/footballers/downsizers/lottery winners would give two hoots if it only lasted a week. Just as long as nobody else had one.
