Right, I'm off to that London Village now. I don't know if they have any inter nets there, so I'll see you back up north, ya bastards.

Chaps, just called to confirm and we have to be there at 5.20.

See you tomorrow!

Correct.

Head for Warrington Train Station, Turn right 50 metres after it. (assuming you are coming from the motorways and are not local)

Turn first right, just over the railway bridge.

Go quarter of a mile a mile down the windy road behind the railway sidings, if you feel like you are lost you are going the right way.

Through the double railway arches and its straight ahead!

Traffic through Warrington seems to flow quite easily from the motorway, it is 10/15 mins max from the junction.

See you there at half 5!

Have we got any auto electrician magicians turning up at this here event with a multimeter? I have the slight issue of being about 4 hours from home with a Toyota Supra that is intermittently charging and if I turn up to this then I will need to use the lights to get home.

Posted

I can bring a multimeter unfortunately not the auto electrician skills.

Let me know!

I did find one small, underdeveloped inter net at this here London. It was cowering under a rock near a cave.

So, 5.20 eh?

I'll be there either first or last, depending on how our journey goes. Mrs_KJ is in tow. Any other females coming would make her feel less of a lemon.

I can bring you a spare battery charged up if you need? And some legnths of wire and some spare fuses and relays if you want to bodge somthing up!

And I also have a multimeter, though KruJoe is the one that is the wizard with it.

Joe, you should put Tai on for quarter of an hour between our sessions, she will absolutely love it! And I think there will be space for her if you ask when we turn up!

Will, we'll see when we get there, she said "maybe, yeah".

MMMark.. Just ring up and ask, maybe they'll fit you in.

I fixed my alternator, it was a busted adjuster so it was flapping around a little loose. Crisis averted, you can re-holster your multimeters. See you all in a couple of hours.

Fuck sticks !

Forgot to get a ticket (Even after speaking to Will about it )

Aah well.

Just rang Dawn (assistant manager at Warrington) and they are fully booked for this session.

If this goes as well as I expect it to we might have to do another in the future...

Amazing fun, loved every minute of it even if I did prove to be a liability on the track.

The winners:

3: Dugong

John F will probably have a sore foot in the morning. My shoulders and arms are feeling it.

Excellent fun.

Exellent event, thanks to Will for organising it :-)

The real winner was in fact Will, his fastest lap was a full second faster than any of us. But he excluded himself from the prize since he (and Joe) made it.

The prize is a home-made inspection light BTW, not a giant matchstick as it appears to be in the pic...

And yeah... the foot is starting to turn a bit purple...

Posted

Any broken bones?

One mildly squashed foot, due to my kart being shunted underneath KruJoe's during a pile-up. I've MoT'd worse, etc.

Great evening. I'm now stood on the hard shoulder of the M5 near Stroud. I have run out of electricity.

Fantastic do, good to see everyone. I'm now feeling bruised and battered (and knackered)

Sounds like a fun night out.

I can't help but imagine a load of blokes huddled around a kart with their hands in their pockets watching someone painting it beige with a big brush while someone else tries to get it running on veg.

Did that happen?

Did Philbusmo get back OK? He said he'd broken down very early this morning on the M5.

I eventually got home at about 8 this morning via the magical mystery tour of service stations that is the AA Relay service.

I had a quick shower and changed, then drove to work. I'm currently at work after 30 hours with no sleep, which is decidedly unpleasant.

Good work Phil.

It wouldn't be Autoshite without a failure to proceed.

I have quite bad pains in the back of my neck today. I got rammed VERY hard from behind - Joe was using me as a braking medium. You know when you feel somthing crunch in your neck? I don't think he ever did find the brake pedal...

I was following him at one point and I seized up with an uncontrollable fit of laughter - he hit the barrier so hard I'm sure his head came loose.

I think Joe pretty much tried to obliterate all of us, although not sure how he ended up on top of John's kart at one point

We're now almost at the 36 hours mark since I last slept - work was a chore today, spent mostly talking to the most boring man in the world which didn't help my trying not to fall asleep.

As for injuries, I have a MAHOOSIVE bruise on my left hip from it cracking the seat of the kart each time I threw it into the complex after the second ramp and my hand hurts a bit from where I punched the Supras alternator.
