You can't say something like that and not provide full details, including extensive pictorial evidence!!

Me and the Mrs went to the Havering (Hornchurch, Essex) show. Pissed it down all day.

Had a right dodgy tasting burger - my Mrs nearly threw up, but caught a fine band on stage doing their bit. Dr Zero and the Hotheads. Made my day. Check them out on Youtube.

They did a few Dr Feelgood tracks, which was pretty good as far as I'm concerned, as I used to work with one of the Feelgoods way back in the seventies, before they became famous.

John 'Sparko' Sparks.

Wonder where he is now? Would love to meet up again and go over old times.

My mate John, back in the day, far left.

Spent all day (so it seemed) driving home from Woolacombe to Grays....normally an easy 4 hour journey, yesterday, left at 11.15am, home at 20.05, with only half-hour's worth of stops.

Still, The Shed behaved itself, but on a journey like that, it's the little things that get on your tits, due to prolonged exposure. So next job is to try and make the windscreen wipers stop thumping the screen base every time they sweep into the down position. Oh, and it sounds like there's a mouse trapped in the heater fan. That was bloody annoying too.

Still, averaged 35mpg, so not all bad.

Cheers mate, good info.

Chances are he's in Thailand then.

My one big regret:

When we were working together - John was a qualified bricklayer before the band took off, I was his 'hoddie', he knew I loved driving and wanted to be a lorry driver, so he asked if I'd consider being a roadie for the band. Like a twat, I turned it down.

I often wonder where and what I'd be now if I'd taken him up on his offer.

The popular* Tesco site. I'm just in the entrance. Off to Chester at 3 though.

Ah, the old Bond Worth site, so no, not popular at all unsurprisingly given what they have done to the site, and the fact that there are/will be 7 of them in a 4 mile radius....

Got a tin hat?  :-)

Safely* tucked away in Chester now for the night. Talking to a lady from across the road from the site and she reckons she's lost about 30 grand from her house because of it. Not popular at all.

Posh site tomorrow. A Waitrose!
