I fink the clutch is under that clutch cover so if it's not the cable then an afternoon of beery fettling would have all the plates cleaned/renewed and superdooper new oil would have it sorted. HBOL one spanner logo

it an easy fix - just the cable is the easiest :D

drain oil take cover off undo springs check plates replace bolt back on

The clutch could be stuck due to lack of use.

So... if you get it rolling and in gear an "Italian tune-up" with the clutch pulled in may free it off.

Of course it could be just a cable...

Don't bother. I had one and hated it.

Dog slow, shit build quality, it will turn to dust at the sniff of salt.....if you have a fetish for crusty seized bolts, crack on my friend.....

Find a runner and run it till it dissolves  :happydance:

Owned one and Couriered it to death, looks ok for the money it's at, I'd bid up to £300 on it

i think its the cable -  bikes with 60hp dont burn clutches :D

what ya think

I take it you passed your test a long time ago, the yam 125s they use here for testing get clutches yearly and I recon its down to the way they teach you to slip clutch while pulling out of junctions and manoeuvring, it feels so unnatural to anyone mechanically minded

I've had two of those, loved them both.  Great little bikes to ride imho.  Although as others have said the finish isn't the best.

Just a thought, could be buggered side stand switch, this would cause it to stall as soon as you put it in gear too.

I had one as my first "big" bike after I passed my test.

Coming from a 125 it felt like a ballistic missile!

Not a bad thing but +1 on the rust. Don't leave it outside.

Isnt this the same engine (essentially same bike) as the ER500?

Mine rusted, but ran great. Nowt ever went wrong with it until I fell off and bent the bars.

Talking of bike shite [thread hijack  ]

This is on my watch list and is exactly how much money is burning a hole in my pocket following the sale of the Maverano

Thoughts anyone?

And the KLE500- great wee bikes. Gotta say I prefer Kawasaki to anything else...and I've never found the build quality to be that bad even after rebuilding a couple of early ZZR's. Better than Yamaha and Suzuki  IMO

Iirc the gpz had 60 hp , the er and earlier kle had 50 and the later kle was strangled to 27 bhp due to getting an ancient engine design through new emissions limits.

i bought the one withe the rack on :D

just waiting for him to email me with details - ebay dont send you that anymore - cnuts

As a seller I find it really frustrating that I send and invoice with a message attached with all the info on it "ie, call me on this number, Im located at blah blah and the post code is FAN NYY" etc and the number of emails I get asking for the same because eBay dont pass this information on any more.

Its frankly flaps - if only there was some other eBay alternative for us Autoshitters.....
