Son has just got Suzuki intruder 125cc

Needs a bit of work but long mot/tax.

Getting some silly quotes for insurance,£280 cheapest so far, does this sound right to you.

Just got insurance through RAC £129.00 fully comp

Half the wheels to my car and half the price. Sounds good to me therefore- "I'm in!"

Even if my car only had one wheel, and my insurance was quarter price, Daves young-un would still be ahead of me!

Solid little bikes, just keep chrome clean! Insurance doesn't sound bad at all. I pay 135 a year for my Honda c90. Admittedly i only have cbt and points on my license so expected it to be a bit higher.

It'll depend on how old he is, location, previous points on licence anyhow. I think when I had my Vespa 200 with no no claims bonus and going TPFT, it was £92 and the following year it was something like £62.

I just ran it through the compare the meerkat thingy with my info and it'd be 108.33 for me fully comp.

Considering me not having any NCB, that's actually not a bad quote IMO. I guess it has to do with the fact that I'm about to enter gifferdom.

That's not bad for a 125.my 900 costs 85 per year, the 106 is 136 all in.

A GSXR 1100 RR (the last bike I owned hitherto) would cost me 87.40

Odd that a 125 would cost me more, isn't it?

thats not bad - not a scooter so cheaper and cruiser types are gonna be cheaper

my ntv is 66 quid :D

had blade and that was 130 :D

had ar125 in 96 and think that cost 3-400 having passed test coupla months before............

I found as well as a lot of bikers i know that 125cc and under tend to be relatively expensive due to theft, lack of security etc

A lot of smaller bikes stolen and used in crime due to the scrawny little shits not been able to manhandle anything bigger - also easier to escape from the police down ginnells/ alleyways etc.

I was paying £150 a year for my K reg GSXR 750 - my busa costs me £110 a year.

As the yanks say - go figure.

is that the one with half the engine made of plastic?

I was happy this year when my fully comp Inc breakdown and legal cover came to 140. That's for a Ducati multistrada , Ktm 300 and a ke175. I do feel old tho

125's are disproportionately expensive, something to do with lots of 17 year olds putting them in hedges?

I'm currently paying £202 TPFT on a VFR750, 31 years young, just passed test with no motorcycle no claims.

Aprilia RS125 on a CBT would have been at least double to insure.

This thread rocks. Just been quoted £77 for a Kawasaki GPZ600! Very, very tempting.

My Vespa 125 is over £100 to insure comprehensive and I have 1 year NCB. Seems a lot compared to the above

Is it a PX125?

Gts 125. They even have fuel injection these days
