Saucy little french tart....

Given that I don't really use this anymore I think it's time to sell. I bought this last year when we sold the Lancia, and have thouroughly enjoyed having it. It starts, stops and has done everything I've asked of it. It only let me down once when the alternator failed, which has been replaced with a brand new unit.

In short it's as follows:

1988 Peugeot 205 1.6 CTi Cabriolet.

Mileage: 120k

MOT: 12 Months

Tax: 5 months

Good points: Drives well, engine, gearbox, clutch, brakes all good. Hood in good condition, couple of tiny splits on the folds, has had a new rear window recently. Recent brand new pair of headlamps, recent alternator. First owner kept a detailed diary of its day to day existance. Was specced up by Peugeot specialist tuning with PAS from new. CD player with Aux Cable in the centre console. Comes with original tonneau cover. Good tyres, Yokos on the front and Bridgestones on the rear. Rear beam all ok, no adverse camber or clonks and groans.

Bad Points: Rumble from the NS driveshaft on lock, but two brand new ones supplied with the car, Interior is a bit tatty, the side bolsters on the front seats are split. OS window winder is tempramental, probably could do with a new regulator, but they are manual so will be cheap. Has a slight water leak from the temp sensor on the expansion tank, just needs a new seal.

Body work: Pretty good over all, needs a regular polish to stop it pogweasaling, but does look good on it. Had had a couple of repairs in the past by the looks of it, rear arches for example.

I'll stick it in for a MOT next week, and fix anything that needs doing on it, so will be sold with 12 months ready for the new owner.

I'd like to get around £700 for it, as I'm hoping to replace it, and the 306 'Merde'ian with a modern'ish' diesel for the motorway commute.

I know that I'll regret selling this one, but as mentioned I work away from home most of the time, I don't use it for my commute as it would have to spend 4 days at a time outside my office whilst I'm away.

Here's soem photos when I bought it, nothing has changed!

That is a saucy little number indeed!  Molto approvo.  Whereabouts would one have to go to, to drive this away?

I'm in Leeds, but Delivery service can be arranged.

Saucy, yes, top is off at the merest hint of good weather!

I don't know, Soho and China Town is only about 2 hours away and that's much like driving though China, I suspect.

I'll mention this to my lad. He's a bit skint at the moment (or so he tells his dad!) but he has expressed an interest in these before.

Leeds is eminently doable from here.  Dammit.  I need to free up some cash, I think.

All together now, join in the chorus:  Anyone want an MR2? :-D

It looks really nice and the colour matches my eyes. I'm sure you'll have no problems selling it once the sun comes out.,

Perfect time to eBay it - pressie for little miss passed exams, from kent. Thank you Daddy!

It's not an auto Eddy, you'll miss your Mister Two!

To anyone who's interested, I'm sure there'll be a cheap keep-fit window mech from a three door 205 kicking around here somewhere... I'm not guaranteeing the compatibility however - the hatchbacks don't have the quarter lights that this one has, just a big door glass each side.

GLWS Chris, it deserves a good home.

First point intensely valid, Joe, I'll give you that. Second point, not so sure about. I'm struggling to make up my mind over the MR2, it does what it does very well, but seems to be missing a spark of some sort. I find myself looking at possible replacements much more than I was expecting to, this early in my custody of it.
