Due to the orderly nature of this queue I guess they are waiting to get onto a ferry from somewhere to somewhere.

Don’t know. You’d expect some of the cars to have roof racks and it’s obviously on a motorway . Most cars seem quite full , not just one person as per a working day , so probably a bank holiday. Queue for somewhere like Dartford tunnel?

I'd guess M5, it's always been a bit of a cark park in the summer. I bet the Lotus driver was panicking that the temp wasn't going to go up much more.
