I had one of these, T roofed, for a few years when it was fairly new, bloody good reliable motor, my kids loved it.

 

Parts from Frosts in Wellingborough were cheap as chips, couldn't tell you if Frosts is still there mind, it was me last Yank tank.

How come it's wearing a carb?

 

Its Not its Throttle Body Injection on this model, so has a air box on top, this one has a Holley one rather than a standard GM one however.

I'm not sure what a LT1 engine is, but this is the last of the 3rd gen, so possibly only get new engine in 4th gen?

LT1 were 300 bhp, alloy heads, different injection etc  and looked different. Think they were the last of the "small blocks". It's not important, perhaps the Corvettes got them 1st. Good luck etc, I feel tempted but you're a bit over me toy budget!

It's worth it for the interior alone. If you couldn't rock up outside Desperate & Easy (Cheshire Oaks) at 4.00am on Sunday and pull some quality* fanny with that, then the whole world is finished.
