Needs the Autoshite love, maybe?

Also on that site, a real mongmobile with wanker rimz and fuckwit lowerage for £1795 (looks like it should be about 10 pence), and a quite decent looking one for £1450.

I think it's been on eBay a while.

Probably cos it's a 2.6

That has since sold (old advert, 3 Feb) and then been on ebay twice since also in the same area but a different seller to the first seller a couple of months ago, it was on the Tat thread where the guy said he liked it more than his wife etc etc Goodness where it is now and who's selling it.

you'd be much better buying my one

Mewagers that's the 10pence one as noted by the loafconveyance in his op;)

Are the 2600s regarded as pants?  What about the other ones?  Leave aside all that Vitesse bollocks.  I am not in SD1 mode just at present, but could see myself being so one day.   My dad looooooooooooved the SD1.

Yes thanks Breadvan that's my one you so graciously called a spaz wagon. It's all been done properly not a chopped spring in site and the fuckwith rimz are original 1970's revo alloys from touring car. Not VENOMZ. Everyone to there own and all that.

Beauty is in the eye, etc.  To my eye it looks like you have ruined the appearance of a classically good looking car, but GLWTS!

Indeed, thankfully we're not all the same but your opinion is noted and duly ignored.

I've had a few SD1s. The 2600 was pretty hopeless. Not as bad as the 2300 but once you've driven a manual Vitesse the others lose all their charm.

Opinions are like sweaty knackers:  we've all got at least two.  OK, not Hitler.

I had a guy on buy sell cortina recently come on and tell me how shit he thought one of my old cars was, that it was "absolutely rotten" etc at the time I had it, which it wasnt. Not sure why it wound me up but it did

I would be flattered, in a shitey sort of way.

This 2600 VDP has been living under a cover on a driveway on the next road long for at least 5 years, I've been tempted to knock about it but i think it will be too expensive and a world of pain to recommission.

A pity, as it looks well luvverley.

What's to stop you welding an sd1 body onto a landy chassis? Apart from different dimensions and that?

Easyv8 conversion ftw!

Not to mention freewheeling front hubs for doriftuuuuuu, then lock them to get the ftucker out the ditch

My dad had a 2600S. It was the same colour as well, and was deeply, unfashionably uncool at the time.

Don't get me wrong I prefer a standard SD1 any day but Corts SD1 looks good, its done nicely in time with the car, I would happily blast around in it.

When I was at high school a bloke down the road from me had one like that with same/similar wheels, wide rear arches and straight through exhaust on a 2600 silver and a bit tatty, one neighbour described it as a heap, "NO WAY its the best car in this street I replied"  I remember one morning me and a couple of mates were watching it go off in the morning on our way to school and the bloke pulled off a pretty decent wheel spin at the junction at the bottom of my road, which was well cool, think he heard one of us (probably me) say 'Nice Rover mate' I was about 14 and abit odd like that when everyone else was creaming over early EVO's and Impretzals, Pah!!
