Sorry to see you're selling most of your tat CMS, I never thought I'd see the day you sold that Cavalier. At least the Monty is staying though.

Gotta be done AD; more a case of clearing my feet than anything else. Montego'll stay put as a toy, the Council Estate is staying as SWMBO went MENTAL when I even suggested getting rid and I'm picking up a much newer daily driver this afternoon. Three makes easier storage too; currently got four at the MIL's alone. If they don't sell I won't be disheartened but if I don't try I never will. We'll see what happens.

Is there any chance you could put the Senator into a large envelope and post it to Essex, please?

Posted

I wonder if the plod would fall for that 'I'm taking it directly a pre-booked mot squire' ploy?

In Essex?

Think I might be pushing it a tad there.

Is there a way of getting this Senny down here?

Extra large thinking cap on.

Posted

Please do as the Senny is making all the right noises at me.

Go for it chap.

I think it's out of my league tbh.

How soon would you need the Cavvy away bud?

I'm only in Edinburgh but would I need to beg my pal for his flatbed or would the "its booked in for a test officer" solution be ok as I wouldn't want to drive it if it was dangerous?

Is there much else it would need to test do you know?

I know I'm probably sounding a bit if a gimp with all the questions about a 250 car but my budget is............Mmmmm lets be polite and say limited so I need to think with my head and not my heart.lol.

                                        Thanks.

Did the Senator sell? I'm having silly thoughts about putting a Senator front end on the Carlton...

Posted

He had it on ebay a couple of months ago. I'm pretty sure he said it was away.

Senator went to a serial GM fetishist in Lenzie; his daily is apparantly a Monza and he had two or three other Senators parked up.

Is the Wentworth still available? I could do with an invalid carriage since I broke my collarbone...

I'll need to keep an eye out for it then..

A new (to me) Casemobile is on the way😀. Therefore the trusty Mazda 6 Estate will be up for sale soon. It is a 2007 Petrol TS2, has 11 months MOT. First let's get the bad things out of the way. Worst is a slight non-structural dent to the front NS wing and several minor scratches. More minor is the spring has gone on the luggage cover and the n/s front passenger window works from the door, but not the driver's side, and that is about it. Good points, only two owners plus demo, genuine 83k miles, leather seats (driver's is electrically powered and works) sunroof (working), service history, new battery, good set of Yokahoma (sp?) tyres.

Cars is available from Tuesday in Aldridge (WS9) Price of older higher mileage but less scruffy ones seems to be  about £1300-£1500, so I think thar £875 is a fair starting point, there don't appear to be many mechanically sound long MOT vehicles around for less than £1,000.  If you are interested, leave a message here, if great interest is aroused I will stick up some photos

If those 2014 prices were now I think you would have had queues of buyers for all 4 within about 5 minutes 😅
