Probably been done before but heres my take on it anyway.

Past Shite - Beige/ Brown

Current Shite - Burgundy/ Red wine colours

Future Shite - Silver ( from pure quantity of 3-10 year old cars in it )

Future Shite 2 - White ,  cos its an "in" colour at the moment.

What do you guys reckon?

Here are 2 of my familys current Shite

Get junkman's tobacco leaf p6, add a black pinstripe and a cream vinyl roof et voila, it's in full autoshite forum livery!

Failing that most manufacturers have gone through periods of it though 70s bl shades remain my favourite

I would honestly rather walk than drive a car this colour, it's absolutely vile. Should be renamed 'Gypsy's Paradise Gold' and I would bet it's target audience is the blocked paved drive/'ornate' railings and gate type people.

Absolutely ! Nobody else offered shades as appealing* as 'limeflower', 'antique gold' or 'russet brown' :

I might be wandering slightly into Retro territory here, but I reckon bright orange and faded purple are top shite colours for those that aren't so fond of jewish racing gold.

I nearly plunged my entire face through my monitor trying to have a bite out of that chocolatey looking Russet Brown Toledo.

You call that an appalling green?  THIS is an appalling green*.  And I love every hideous inch of it.

That's not too bad, has a spearmint vibe to it and not so much of the baby vomit

Vauxhall seemed to introduce two new shit colours with the original Corsa:

this purple was very fashionable for a while. I think all L and M plate Corsa's are this colour:

unless they are this equally vile green. I had a courtesy car just like this once -a diesel with no power steering. I loved it not at all.

I think purple and turquoise are probably the shite hues for 90s cars.  Not only were Vauxhall doing it with their Coarsers, but Rover were with their 100s...

Shiter still has to be the pale metallic pink that the first Kia Prides we got came in. I'm yet to be able to find a picture to share of a UK version, but it was like this and complimented by whitewall tyres.

The sandwich-lady that brought the sandwiches to the office block I used to work in had a red Kia Pride with whitewall tyres, and I was unaccountably sad when she had the front set replaced with normal tyres. Whitewalls on the back and black walls on the front, on a Kia Pride with the canvas roof. That would have to be close to ultimate shite if such a thing still exists.

Not sure what the official moniker is, but my wife calls it quite aptly "Ijustpukedmyredwinemetallic".

I should know because it's the sort of useless thing I would know - my dad had an F plate mk3 Cavalier that colour. It was quite the thing at the time. They made a lot of them - the mk3 Cavalier had a waiting list when it was new - which in itself seems remarkable now - and my dad had a choice of 'ivejustvomittedglitterwine' or this sort of beige-gold-grey they did - it's almost not a colour at all.

Mercedes had a quite similar Ijustpukedmyredwinemetallic and for a while every W124 that wasn't Bornit metallic wore it.

That beige-gold-grey colour Cavalier looks a bit like my old Mk2 SRi. The log book said silver, I thought it was gold and the MOT said it was green.

Future Shite :  most of the colours they insist on covering Fiat 500's in.

oh and that metallic Orange colour they put on Freelanders
