The photos of it certainly look ace... There's a fair bit of Photoshop tweakage going on there I suspect.

It's a thing of absolute beauty I reckon. The reserve seems fairly high, but they're probably rare than an E-Type and are very, very easy on the eye. It's only worth what someon'es prepared to bid anyhow and good luck to the seller.

Errrr, Nurse! New trousers please

Tbh I have seen very tidy examples nudging £8k so the quoted price doesn't seem too far out. Seller also has a metro 1.3 auto which looks pretty fucking hot.

Wonder how long it'll take before some critic moans about the tiny amount of visible corrosion, whilst claiming that The Doctor only paid £1:37 for it, and should offer a lifetime warranty, etc, etc, etc...

Another bargain from Purple Horse.

'NO MORE STRANGE INDIVIDUALS DRESSED IN WHITE OVERALLS ,PRETENDING THEY KNOW ABOUT CARS WHEN THEY CLEARLY DONT HAVE A CLUE , TRYING TO FIND FAULTS WITH A PERFECT CAR, AND HAVING NOTHING BETTER TO DO THAN WASTE THE SELLERS TIME!!'

That'll be because someone would expect a f*cking brand new for seven pissing grand.

'I spent £2000 getting the following work done: New Head Gasket Cylinder head professionally re skimmed Full Gearbox service to include new oil and filter, and new transmition pipes New water pump New thermostat New temperature sender Climate control fully serviced to include new condenser ASD Sensor overhauled Plus engine oil filters etc'

Some 'bullet proof' car that then. By the way, have you pulled your pants back up yet?

'Mileage: 129,777. Price: £6,500. Very few of these left so grab a bargain'

Very few left because they either rusted away, blew up overtaking an asthmatic, three legged turtle that'd been nailed to the floor, or are in several thousand pices in Nigeria.

Still, at least that's one that's safe because at £6,500 the f*cking thing will be there forever.

except it's cheaper than a few XJCs out there and probably as good as the best of them.

I fear the classic car market is going to do what it did in the early 1990s as some of the prices cars at the top end are going for is out of this world. Investors always spoil hobbies ...

When I first went to microcar rallies, it was all tents and what you could fit into the microcar you had driven there, one guy even had an ancient caravan that had fold flat furniture in it so he could take his car to shows and convert the 'van back into sleeping accomodation. Now, any big rally looks like a camping and caravan club site with the big motorhomes and cars on trailers.
