I just don't understand some people, if it's being painted why not wait until it comes back before selling it and take some fresh photos, especially if your asking top dollar for it.

I would think it has more chance of selling for £1500 less without the respray as it looks tidy enough as it is and possibly more original than a fresh paint job that could microblister or not look so sharp a few months down the line.

I was in the market for an early XR3 to remind me of my Scalextric "Night Stages" set and prepared to pay £3k tops but having seen the price expectations for these I think I'm out.

" if your reading this then you know there are getting rare now with only 80 left that's registed from what am telled in this condition"

VIN plate donor probably - the only things left on that that make it an XR2i are the wheels, bootlid sticker, steering wheel and engine/VIN plate.

Why do people say things like " it was a good runner?" So was the titanic.

Why do people list something like this on Ebay, instead of calling in the pikeys to have it removed?

That DS is extraordinary, overpriced by a factor of 10, short description minus any useful information such as mileage etc. and if it really has had £120k spent on it, it's effectively been rendered unusable as a road car because any real use it gets is going to devalue it so significantly.  Still, takes all sorts and some collectors will pay for a perfect one.

Aye. And the most boring colour going. If a DS is going to be any colour, it really needs to be metallic.

Jonathan doesn't live in bum fucked Egypt, but you can see it very well from his place.

When it comes to asking prices, Jonathan has the kind of optimism, that reminds us of the man, who thinks his wife gave up smoking cigarettes, when he starts finding cigar butts around the house.

Jonathan had a deprived childhood, hence his sense of cleanliness is not very well developed and Jonathan has no presentation skills whatsoever.

Unfortunately fortune favours village idiots and thus Jonathan ended up with an AMX.

Seems overpriced to me as it's a bit of a shed. I bought this one in 2002 and sold it in about 2008, both sales were for roughly what he's asking. And it was much, much nicer.

My brother had a Hornet back in the day witch he bought it off one of the Americans at the Holy Loch nuke base. It was a fine car with some dubious build quality equiped with a 6 Cylinder. It was RHD!!!!!!

Mine was a bit of a bastard to drive as it was very tuned, had a ladder bar 9" rear with a locker in it, was a manual with a mega heavy clutch and had no power anything so super heavy steering an terrifying brakes. It was bloody fast though! The original engine was pretty wild but bit the dust so it got sold with a stock one in it. They're fab looking cars though. I'd have a stock one any day, preferable a '70 model with a 'Go package'.

Like the javelin since I had a green matchbox one in the 70's, it was incorrectly called an AMX javelin, and didn't look much like the real thing.
