The Cannock motor auction looks great fun.

 

In the early 90s we had Basildon car Auctions which as I remember it, the last chance saloon for all the local essex sheeeite.

 

Going over there on a Sunday afternoon as a kid of about 10 was great fun, smokey MK2 Granada's, absolutely fucked 'Onslow' spec Cortinas, MK2 Fiesta's and Metro's that were literally pushed through the auction, and SD1's that often looked to good to be true (they always were)

 

My dad picked up a C-reg MK2 Jetta there once, gearbox naff but a fairly cheap fix IIRC.
