Oh, most of it died long before it got to Cannock.

The entrance to the Shed of Unfortunate Purchasing is like the vehicular equivalent to the pearly gates. I'd hazard a guess that less than 30% of the crap that rolls through makes it through another MOT. If I wasn't inherently lazy I'd get a catalogue from last year and see, but you know.

X935HKJ - Pug 106. Not taxed since auction, not MOTed since

M662OOM - Astra - Not taxed since auction, still same MOT

T967JVP - Felicia - Not taxed since auction, not MOTed since

W693JBV - Pug 206 - No current tax or insurance

P389FMO - Toyota Starlet. Has been through another MOT! But untaxed for six weeks.

BT02ZMZ - Puma. Scrapped, not presented for MOT this year after advisories for rust last year

FG53PHF - 206 - Taxed and tested! Only did 1000 miles in 4 months and needed a shitload of work on the brakes though.

MM02RMO - Merc A170 - SORN, still got MOT

W384EOG - Clio - SORN, still got MOT

BT53JBV - Ka - No tax or MOT

KJ03EXL - Corsa - Had another MOT with a bit of suspension work, but not taxed now

BU05ZDN - Ka - wazzed it through an MOT two days after the auction, has tax too! An unrusty Ka!

AJ51UNX - A3 - Tax and still the same MOT

ST03BEY - Clio - MOT has run out, seems to be scrapped

SX02CPY - V40 - Nope and nope, not been presented for MOT

KV55DFK - Vectra - Same MOT, still taxed

SP02WXZ - Citroen C3 - Not been MOTed since April, scrapped?

WR53CNE - Polo - Been MOTed since but untaxed

KS51FAU - 406 - Never been taxed since the auction, still got MOT

LC54YOP - Sedona - SORN, still got MOT

HK52DBX - Laguna - only taxed for another 4 months then the MOT ran out.

 

So out of those 21 cars, if we assume taxed = still on the road, only four of them are still providing transportation duties - the rest are presumed BEANCANS or perhaps just sitting on someone's driveway gathering moss waiting for the scrap price to go up.

That's a 19% survival rate! 

 

Edit> just realised that the three that didn't show up on totalcarcheck have been properly scrapped, so I've lobbed them in too and adjusted the already pitiful figures

The Shuma sold in Feb 2015 mot expired in June 2015 and its never had another. Shame wish it could be found could do with two decent magenta red wings.
