Garage of delights

Hey Benjy, the Alpine isn't by any chance being restored by a garage in East Lancashire is it? Surely there can't be two people in the UK currently having two tone blue Alpine hatchbacks restored at the same time. Can there?

I love the way the hinges serving the rear doors are exposed upon opening the front doors. How beautifully vulgar.

Crikey. In that case another serial Talbot collector / pervert lives in the area!

Its been very hectic in the garage...but we are pleased to announce the arrival of the Uno from Chingford. Its had 1 owner from new, with 16,000 miles. He averaged 93 miles per year and I have every MOT and service each year. These are the pre wash pictures as he has just moved in.post-12144-0-77767500-1409158146_thumb.jpgpost-12144-0-88988800-1409158192_thumb.jpgpost-12144-0-32440600-1409158256_thumb.jpgpost-12144-0-35036100-1409158306_thumb.jpgpost-12144-0-03270300-1409158355_thumb.jpgpost-12144-0-25029600-1409158401_thumb.jpg

There is a two tone blue Alpine Rapier that resides in Nelson, Lancashire along with a gold and brown Solara Sceptre. Could be this one that you are aware of ?

Is that a garage? It's not a name I recognise to be fair.

No he's in the Simca Talbot Club...he's doing the work and his body shop is panting

Is this an Uno 70? I have not driven one but I bet they are a right perky little thing, I'd love to have a shot in one.

Yes it's the 1298 70SL. Not perky at the moment as the clutch is slipping...new one going in on Tuesday evening.

All, this isn't a new car to me. Bought it beginning of 2013 and my friend competed the welding and another the strip and paint job....saved from the crusher with 34,000 miles and unique with the Norfolk tweed trim. The car will be ready end of October...

Mr Bollox....your Alpine is away being prepped as we type!post-12144-0-41483900-1412552276_thumb.jpgpost-12144-0-41202200-1412552327_thumb.jpgpost-12144-0-75187500-1412552389_thumb.jpgpost-12144-0-45994900-1412552449_thumb.jpgpost-12144-0-38788300-1412552514_thumb.jpgpost-12144-0-46887700-1412552602_thumb.jpgpost-12144-0-13308400-1412552673_thumb.jpgpost-12144-0-13964200-1412552747_thumb.jpg
