Partridge Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 Recently, a few members were going all doom and gloom, saying how there would be no future shite. Well I bring you this, the spiritual sucsessor to the Talbot Tagora, the Chevrolet Epica. How many of these handsome buggers have you seen around? Exactly. Your's, for the sum of £3,940. I can't beleve they've been under the Shitedar for so long, I know they have mine. http://www.autotrader.co.uk/used-cars/chevrolet/epica/used-chevrolet-epica-2-0-vcdi-ls-4dr-callington-fpa-201309299020359?logcode=p Discuss.
fordperv Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 all gm cars iz shit only kidding that looks alot of car for the money
SambaS Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 Fuck that I'd sooner spend my 3.9k on a Tagora scruff, George-Roper and Junkman 3
Partridge Posted September 30, 2013 Author Posted September 30, 2013 The reason we don't see any of them, is because they are SO GOOD people in the know are stockpiling them in their gardens, along with Tagoras and MG6s. Vince70 1
Station Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 That's pretty bland looking. Is it an actual American car, or in fact, Malaysian/Korean/etc.
Jim Bergerac Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 Korean. I saw one a blue one used as a taxi just this afternoon.
Lukas Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 The Daewoo/Chevrolet Epica is the successor of the Daewoo/Chevrolet Evanda. I think it looks quite good. Based on old Opel-designs, as you can read on the internet. Very rare now, extinct in a few years or so. L
Junkman Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 Those don't look good. A Tagora looks good. So I hope you know what to do with your money.
Sigmund Fraud Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 Epica ? Far too new, far too expensive and actually a decent, bland, modern car. If you want a Daewoo with proper shite pedigree, you need to take an obsolete Ascona/Cavalier, add crisp Bertone (Xantia rip-off) styling and voila : SambaS 1
Lukas Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 Hmmm... Nice one. Or three. I´d take the one in the back. Because of the hubcaps! Junkman 1
cms206 Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 There are a good half dozen or so being taxi'd round these parts - a five year age limit on PHCs (recently extended to seven IF you've had the car for more than a certain number of years).I still really fancy an Espero...
Junkman Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 Look. This: is a Chevrolet. Now this: is a Daewoo. And this: is a Tagora. Notice that before 1986 people actually did have a choice?
Sigmund Fraud Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 Now this: is a Daewoo/Opel/Vauxhall/Holden (delete as applicable) EFA sutty2006 and Banger Kenny 2
Junkman Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 EFA And Ford claimed they built the first 'world car' with the Mondeo. Banger Kenny 1
Lukas Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 I´d love a Daewoo Imperial, based on the Opel Senator A Or a Daewoo Royale Super Saloon: Want´s to be a Toyota Crown, it seems. Partridge, Sigmund Fraud, Junkman and 1 other 4
Junkman Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 I´d love a Daewoo Imperial, based on the Opel Senator A Fugg me sideways!Where do I sign?
Mr_Bo11ox Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 I've heard some of these Epica things have a transverse straight six, anyone know if thats true?
Sigmund Fraud Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 I've heard some of these Epica things have a transverse straight six, anyone know if thats true? Apparently so ! Landcrab-tastic :
Negative Creep Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 Strewth!!!! Now you're talking. Working on that must be "fun"
chaseracer Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 In the OP, is the decimal point one place too far to the right?
fordperv Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 I've heard some of these Epica things have a transverse straight six, anyone know if thats true? apparently designed by porsche, then again that could be bullshit chaseracer 1
chaseracer Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 Fugg me. How is it that this transcendent vision can share DNA with the VxL C*rlt*n that the aged parentals used to have (when they were slightly less aged...)?
RichardMoss Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 There are loads of Epicas out here - both the curent generation and previous model. The majority are taxis but there are quite a number in private hands. They're quite odd with that transverse, 2L inline 6 cylinder engine - the spiritual sucessort to the Princess 2200?
hairnet Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 been looking for esperos lately who mentioned mg6s? saw two in scotland on tuesday between biggar and kelso and not scottish regd either (both saloons)
dollywobbler Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 This thread is full of horrendous WIN. For transverse straight six, see also Volvo S80 (I think) and Land Rover Freelander 2. saucedoctor 1
Partridge Posted September 30, 2013 Author Posted September 30, 2013 apparently designed by porsche, then again that could be bullshit No that's bollocks. I know it's bollocks because I read that on Wikipedia fordperv 1
cort16 Posted October 1, 2013 Posted October 1, 2013 These Sebrings in the same spirit. The Epica at least had the decency to look like a late 90's Hyundai you might as well be wearing a stetson if you drive one of these. My mate got a 57 plate petrol one from the auction last year for £1800 and was convinced he was going to make £££ but after a door lock failure costing £200 to fix the best he could do was break even. Here's an 08 diesel one for £2795. sea bring by cort16, on Flickr http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201302265503863/ Partridge 1
pshome Posted October 1, 2013 Posted October 1, 2013 Fuck that I'd sooner spend my 3.9k on a Tagorafor that money, you get two!
Partridge Posted October 2, 2013 Author Posted October 2, 2013 for that money, you get two!Or 1 Tagora and 2 Sambas!
