who can guess what kind of person owns this?

...Ahhh...PINK!

We have a local lass [seen driving... might belong 2 another..] with a resprayed Beetle [newshape] and a fine attempt at 't-cut' over the front area has shown up the 'bleached out' original.

Sort of 'lipstick pink' after t-cut and balance of body bleached almost white...

.. too good for Fleebayying 'monggs'!

The Volvo 940 'Highlander' special edition had some questionable decals, which were supposed to emphasise the 'outdoor pursuits' nature of the car:

I wonder where I can get a set for The Volvo? :P

Those A1s are awful. They're not even that rare but each and every time I see one being driven around (usually by a 20-something trainee estate agent who probably doesn't even remember that Audi used that colour scheme on the URs) I just think "prat".

Is it urban legend that having a number on the door invalidates insurance? Summat to do with "not for use in competition or time trials".

I consider that A1's livery to be an insult to the memory of the Ur-Quatrro.

Competition numbers are supposed to be covered, or crossed out with tape when vehicles wearing such livery are being used on the public highway.

I like decals - not the terrible Firebird type ones, but most 'sports' type ones:

I liked that they put a classy fade-out decal on the Torslanda 240 to make it look like you'd gone the extra mile with your tidemark.

I'd love to have a Torslanda one day, they're a bucket-list car.

Decals ruled the world in the 70s-80s.

All those decal manufacturers, who supplied the car industry, must have gone bust afterwards.

These are just representative for all the tosh delivered with woodgrain decals.

im sure one of the last cars to have this was the Ford Taurus Estate

Oh aye, you can still order it for some minivans and the Ford Flex.

a tad old fashioned but each to there own

I like the Supersport ones. Make it look wide-arched, as long as you're in exactly the right spot and squinting slightly.

How about some slightly odd Austin efforts during their "Sell more special editions than normal ones" phase....
