ebay selling problem need advice

I have been trying to sell my old caravan for a few weeks.

On Monday someone bid.

Then for a couple of days I heard nothing.

Then I noticed when I clicked on "send an invoice" that it listed his mobile number so I gave him a call.

He was out of the country which I though was a reasonable explanation for not answering emails.

He said he would pick on Friday night.

Didn't show, said he had problems.  Said he would come today.

Didn't show and now won't answer the phone either.

So now my question.

What happens if I file a non payment and then just relist straight away?

Sure I have to pay listing fees again.

But I think that I will get my final valuation fee refunded and not charged.

And if this idiot does turn up with cash I just cancel the second auction.

Is there a flaw in this plan?

I know I'm supposed to wait four days but I really have to get this caravan sold before summer holidays start (I think)

start a 'dispute' via ebay

keep trying the mobile number and sending ebay meessages

Insist that he has bought it, it s a legal contract, and you will happily take him to court or the full ammount plus expenses

(give him an idea of the expenses, i.e. solicitors costs, time off work, ebay fees, interest etc etc)

works for me

Re list try again, repeat untill success.

My patience with ebay wore extremely thin. Caravan messers are worse and more abundant that any other ebay mong phakt.

List cars, caravans etc as classified ads then you don't get spackers bidding & dissapearing / BIN & trying to chip you after etc.

Open a case with eBay, eBay will close in your favour and refund fees. Relist and try again...

You have to wait a minimum time (one week?) before you can report them and eBay make things hard for you to do so too. You'll get your FVF fees back but only if you relist it: to me, that's a bit of a con because eBay should be partly responsible for their customers bidding. Often if I get titted about I lose out financially by not re-listing then advertise on Gumtree or somewhere else instead.

I know I bang the Gumtree drum quite a bit (and they are owned by eBay) but as a selling medium it's pretty hard to beat these days.

You can open a UPI after 2 days now. Very useful when you get the zero feedback just registered in arse of europe bidder that you know isn't going to pay.

Start a dispute as soon as you can, then in five days you can close it and get your seller fees back.

Ebay don't mind the people making them their huge profits getting dicked about as it's more money for them.

For less than the cost of two listing fees you can advertise on Autotrader and free on Gumtree.

Ebay may even open the unpaid dispute auomatically - they have just done that on a pair of shoes that my mum sold 4 days ago because they have not yet been marked as paid.

The sad thing is not being able to leave negative feedback for buyers now.

but you can still leave comments like;

BEWARE: Avoid this pennyless windowshopper. EBAY MUPPET ALERT

But then they just get ebay to remove it as you can't leave negative feedback under the guise of positive feedback :(

Unfortunately the invasion of the mongtards is not restricted to Ipay. I managed to attract an astonishing number of them on Dumbtree, too.

relisted on gumtree and ebay as classified add

the bidding method is now to turn up with cash or F off

I seem to have the only caravan available in the London area for under a grand (it's at £375) and yet still no one wants it

this is cheaper two rooms in a hotel for a weekend for goodness sake

classified adds appear much less agro than auctions.

I had at least ten calls yesterday and sold within 24 hrs to the first guy who called, who turned up when he said he would and payed the full asking price in cash.

Another ebay question, I sold a push bike on ebay an old raleigh that went for 60 odd quid, the guy paid by paypal two weeks ago, said he was coming up from london on a train to get it, never showed, checked paypal, his adress is in the united states of america. Sent many more emails, no reply? Then checked paypal his adress is now in fife???!???

Is something dodgy going on? If so why for a old a bike?

ebay have charged me sellers fees.  I don't understand how to get them back.

In the invoice it says that I can raise it in the the "resolution centre".

When I go to resolution centre to raise a case and put the item number in it says

"An unpaid item case for this transaction was opened on 13 Jul, 2013."

When I go to that case the only "action" that is available to me is to "close case".

I seem to be in a cul-de-sac that is costing me £55

how do I get my sellers fee back?

Edit: just realised.  I have to "close" the case to get my money back, which is a bit counter intuitive but it seems to work

Standard ebay.

Open a dispute and do all commuications with ebay messenger so there is a record.

I'd like to know what % of ebay motors sales don't actually get completed. I recon it's got to be at least half.

You will get some of it back (listing fees I think) but the only other thing you'll get offered is a free re-listing.

close the case, stating the buyer has NOT paid, and you will get your fees back

I got given negative feedback for not selling my wheels to this cretin.

I stopped communication and opened a 'dispute' (as a seller) against him, as an 'unreasonable demands'. Also disputed negative feedback. He also sent a 'where is my item' thing.

I left him a message telling him to read up on ebay rules, and also the general thing to do when in an auction. I binned his reply as I couldn't be assed.

They have credited back the fees to my account, but how do I actually get the money back out?  I don't want the money sat there in an ebay account, I want it in my paypal account or bank account.
