Yes, all 1/18 scale.

Guys, I have it in my crystal ball, there will be 1/18 scale ZILs in the near future.

Solido did some excellent choddage in 1.18 back in the early 90s. XM, 605 (which I have) and Safrane.

Chinese eBay is ace, Legendmodel has some unusual stuff. I had to go there to get my Aveo model. I have my eye on the Roewe750.

That Chinese Santana is a must have, too. Too bad they didn't make a Rover 75 spin-off of the Roewe 750.

What do all of you model collectors actually do with the model cars?

Do you have walls full of presentation cases?

I have a few boxes full of model cars down in the dungeon.

I just have them, that's it.

I've got some in display cases and more on shelves. The rest are stored here and there. Realistically I've wasted hundreds of pounds that could have been spent on beer.

I need to get rid of a load of mine. Don't really see the point in having them just sitting around. Maybe I'll set up a stand at Welsh Shitefest!

Mine are all boxed at the moment and out of the way. I wont get rid as some of my models gave gone missing when Fatha_Sterling had his stuff moved out and stored away when he was in Kuwait some years ago.

A model car is a representation of a car you might like but dont have the space or real desire to buy a real version. To me, I like cars, and I like to have something rare, something to display and admire in the form of a car. I appreciate things like fine details. Other people have paintings, statues etc... I like to have model cars.

On the subject of British chod, I agree, I think they will be looked over. I certainly can't see a Rover 800 being made into a 1/18 model. There was a limited run of 1/24s but they are seriously unobtainable. Years ago I managed to get out bid on one at £250+. The seller must have been laughing all the way to the bank. What makes it worse, the seller was local too.

I also agree that abroad, British cars seem quite popular. Rovers are quite revered over in places like France and Spain.
