Been down south today. Didn't manage to get a picture of the Borgward Isabella Combi parked up in Aldershot

Shame, but it'll be the daily driver one I saw at Enfield last night that made me aware of them as he lives down that way. :)

Hey,that Z was one of my 1st spots on here a couple of years ago

The Cherry with slotmags looks like Aldershot Tescos?

Posted

That's on the road to Speke airport innit?

Yep. Junction of Jericho Lane and Aigburth Rd.

The Cherry with slotmags looks like Aldershot Tescos?

Certainly is!

Good spots, that MKIII Escort certainly looks clean, but if its anything like the MKIV all the rust will be hidden behind things, behind the headlights for example. My college has one and its so crusty. Where is the Z? Aldershot I presume? Cherry makes an unlikely candidate for a car that suits slotmags.

ahh aldershot, good breakers there (Aldershot car spares)(well used to be lol)

Z is in Ash Vale - about a couple of miles from Aldershot. Just off the dual carriageway that goes back to the M3. Its next to a house in the centre of the village (roughly).

Seriously? I went round there spotting a few months ago, and didnt see it.Edit: Theres quite a bit of tat in ash vale, a Polish registered Opel Ascona being another.

Seriously?

YA RLY!!Route I took was from Aldershot Tesco, pass the Ford dealers and you go over the A331 roundabout onto the A323 then you turn left onto the B3206 towards Ash. Follow the road and you get to Shawfield Road at Ash Vale. Its next to a house on the left just before a roundabout.I feel slightly uncomfortable identifying where it is but then its parked next to the road so hardly a secret.

You can delete the location if you want, I see it now. A real shame its abandoned like that. Hey 155V6, strange how youre so close yet Ive seen none of those cars in your spotted thread! Fleet is pretty good for tat, seems to be quite alot of abandoned stuff.

Someone pulled a really knackered Z600 out of a garden in Sale recently. So knackered it snapped in half when the HIAB lifted it out.

A lot of my spotted stuff was when I used to travel all over the South with my job,now I don't go more than about 15 miles from Aldershot

Spent the day at Retro / Dub Mania at Weston Park yesterday. Bit disappointing in terms of selling stuff as there just didn't seem to be that many people around. Still, that did mean I could leave Fatha_Lobsta on duty and go and have a wander. So I did. Not bothered putting up pics of anything that ReallyLoud has already posted, so heres the rest -

This couple made me smile. Wonder if one promised to spend the morning on their knees, leaving the other with a shiny pink rim? Probably wouldn't have been expecting this...

 indeed.

Pass me a can of 4-star and a match.

Good God, man - don't waste 4*! Any cheaper accelerant will do!! :D

Why would you do that? It's probably a perfectly good K10 under all that rubbish. Just clean it off a bit, and it'd be OK.

That R4 bottom right is exactly the same as my last one, same panel fades and rust. Mine was an "A" reg though....

And Mr Lobster Sir, your van is the nuts.

And Mr Lobster Sir, your van is the nuts.

Why thank you! I do rather like it, needs a bit of paint though and a new rear bumper. Had some silver haired chap berating me over it on Saturday though....

Him - Those don't look the the correct seats

Me - They're not, R4 van seats are fuggin uncomfortable

Him - Leather steering wheel as well?

Me - Yup

Him - Those wheels, are they Renault 4 wheels?

Me - No, R5 Le Car 2 Turbo actually

Him - OMG HAVE YOU NO SHAME? LOOK AT THE MIRRORS!!11! (they are little California ones y'see)

Me - My van, I do what I like with it, its to please me not anyone else, now if you'll excuse me I have to go and strangle some ducklings or something...

Decided to go out this morning to have a bit of a walk and take Lobsta_Jnr for a push round so went to the Hoghton Tower Classic Car Show as it was only just along the M65. Being an Andrew Greenwood show they had the usual idiot talking nonsence of the PA - "Lovely machine", "Thanks for bringing it" and berating anyone who didn't want to bring their car to be 'judged'. Bit juicy to get in at £6 each as well but hey ho...

I know what you mean about car shows Jon, I wasn't especially bothered for going but we were at a bit of a loose end and it seemed a better option than walking Jnr along the canal again.

Apologies for bigness but heres the Cortina in more detail

i think i'd prefer it black and shiney

bet its cost afew to one get it in that state, and two keeping it mint, so respect there where its due,

I love Mk 1 Cortinas and it's always good to see a well looked after one, but that looks straight out of a '70s issue of Street Machine. The paint job must've cost a bomb!! Sorry, bad Dam Busters joke! Wonder why he chose that subject?
