Taking a wild stab in the dark here, but I'm guessing you don't work in advertising?

May be best to sell the alloys seperately and weigh the rest in. Local yard to me has offered me £290 for a scrap 9-3 I'm weighing in soon.

Jesus, thought arse had fell out of scrap? too nic really, would like to see someone save it,suppose i could mot it when i get home...

Nice looking car - I'm thinking hard...........

If i knew how to load a piccie.......its on practical classic site..

Nice, but I only paid £250 for my M reg with full service history, new tyres & excellent hood...no t&t though.

5000 miles later and I absolutely love it, smooth, comfortable & reliable :D

Thankyou for the pics,i agree there are cheap Saabs about, the only difference with this [i feel] is the body is solid, and interior immaculate.

Can't believe how undesirable and worthless these cars have become. :(

cracking bulkheads and a company gone tits up...basically. Saab values were always pretty low mind...

I like 'em, better looking than most 'GM' era saabs...IMO

I know about 3 years ago a friends sister had a 2001 9-3 she bought new, and was offered £500 for it as it had become a little shabby; Saab's always were a depreciation disaster, but a great used bargain

That actually looks really, really nice. The interior looks fantastic. Surely that has to find a new home. Good luck with it and I hope it avoids the crusher, it doesn't deserve that kind of ending. Love Saabs!

If......................if, mind you....................I were to take the plunge and dip into my wallet, would you be able to store it for me for about 8 weeks until I could collect?

Posted

I`m going away tonight for a week,if car is paid for i will keep it locked up for someone,i will go mad and put another battery on it[its nick nacked] and some clean fresh petrol in it too!

Up to you gentlemen......

first thing to do if anyone buys it is get the sump off and clean it out before it sludges itself up. These cars are terrible for it! The 9-3 convertible I have sludged itself up on the way home from buying it and buggered its engine, needing a replacement - and the VERY tidy 62,000 mile Full service history 9-3 I've bought off kinkersaab as a spares car the other one has suffered the same fate.

I actually couldnt believe it when i first went to look at it - its never missed a service, its low miles and an 02 plate in great condition - and its knocking like billy - o. It'll be going over the weighbridge still with a load of MoT once I've got the bits I need.

Great parts donor for me, but had it been my car when it went bang I'd have been seriously pissed off. Why Saab didnt do a recall for this fault at the time is beyond me.

so - as soon as you get it home - get the sump off and clean it out before you do ANYTHING else!! Apart from that - at that kind of money you cant grumble.

I got a notification that you'd sent a PM but it seems to have got "lost in the post" - can you email me on XXXXXXXXXXXXX (email deleted)

Well, it's done - I've agreed to buy this off Les.  He has been a star and got it MOTd for me so that I can hand over some money and drive off into the Yorkshire countryside with it.

It will be my first SAAB and I'm really looking forward to it.  After all, who wouldn't want a car made in a town with a name like Uusikaupunki :)
