I really want an altaya granada MKII but they cost loads and apparently IXO is releasing one in gold very soon, so ill save for that, as itll be way more worth it.Just bought something else off lobster  Your postage is very fast!

Have seen it, thanks! You'll like that, it's a really nice model :D

it does look it :) any other cars from the 80s partwork which you recommend?

Posted

To be honest they are all pretty good, all the Seat models - Fura, Ritmo, Marbella and Malaga are very nice as is the Sierra Cosworth and also Talbot Horizon.Wish we could get the rest of the '80's Collection but the guy who brings a lot of that sort of stuff into the UK is a bit random in what he can get so you can never be sure what will actually arrive! We've just got some of the Altaya 'Route Bleue' series which are lovely but have no idea whether we can get more or the rest of the series which is a pity.

ah i see :) well im going to be buying a few in the upcoming weeks i reckon!stock levels good?

Posted

stock levels good?

Yeh, got a decent number of each in. Probably won't run out in the next few weeks of any - with the possible exception of the Horizon which seems to sell really well !
Posted

Really? thatll be my next one then! Its just i get EMA again in the next few weeks, and in order to combat my addiction im limiting it to one a week, which for the meantime will be those cars!

Posted
8) Actually, we have about half a dozen Horizons in stock I think so I can make sure we keep hold of one, will pick up some more from our supplier if they still have them as well so we should have them in stock for a while yet I'd think.
Posted

ill be ordering one by the end of the week i reckon!

Another new model on your Horizon then...

fo sho  Perhaps realising i have 8 parcels coming through is reason to slow down with the old buying.coming through right now i have:Corgi Ford Transit MKII milkfloatCorgi Rover SD1Corgi BMW 325i (e30) MIBMatchbox Scammell handyman/trunker (whatever)Altaya Talbot SamaraCorgi Austin MetroCorgi Matra Rancho. And a Vanguards Cortina which is being sold on.......2 others have bids on, one has a rather large spelling error, so hopefully that works to my advantage.Oh and also thankyou 155V6, as they arrived this morning!

Im pretty much single handedly commenting this thread right now, where on earth has regie gone?

Anyway, heres some new ones:

Posted Image

Dont even know what the white specks are about, but for a quid you cant argue! The sierra on tow even squeaks when moved.

Posted Image

Funny story, lost this one on an auction, then the bidder didnt pay and it got relisted for less than half it 'sold' for on buy it now.

Posted Image

Massive this is, and everything apart from the rear doors open. A proper toy.

Posted Image

Another bargain for a quid, this one is pretty much mint as well. I have countless Escorts now.

Posted Image

I tell you what Lobster, these models are brilliant! Ill be definitely buying more of these from you. Bloody annoying screws mind.....

Posted Image

I was going to sell this, but i cant, its just too good. One of the best models in my collection. ill buy another and sell it.

Yeh they are. Theres a special screwdriver IXO sell, we've had them on order since forever but they've never turned up. A small electrical screwdriver usually does the trick!

Crikey, I had one of those Transit milk floats! Seem to remember having to throw a monster strop to end up with it... (I was a child!)

Posted

Please don't tell me how much the Transit milkfloat was. I had a tatty version found in my parents loft which I sold at a boot sale for about £1. I guess I might regret that one day.

Posted

well mine cost £3, but it was hilariously cheap.Thats the cheapest ive seen one go for, it seems they are pretty collectableLobster did your one have red on it? Rarer version apparently. The prices of these corgi 1/36th fluctuate alot, some people go mad on them, whilst others dont.I just got a 1/36th prelude for a quid, whilst the other day another went for £7+ in the same condition, its just luck of the draw!

I've actually bought a model this week. A Solido Renault 5 after being rather taken by Ratdat's a while back.

I really only bought it for this shot as I think it's one of the best automotive arses ever.

Fudge!I remember having one of those tranny milkfloats.... am I right in thinking that some milkcrates are removable, and some are fixed in place?I remember my mum having a few choice words when she stood on a milkcrate barefoot in the night.

Posted

Mine appears to have lost the additional milk crates. The door still opens though, clever how it both opens and slides from that position.I only really have two more 1/36th corgi models to get, one being a maestro and the other being a Rover 800, both are the ones which sell for most however. If anybody ever wants to get rid of any corgi models like the ones Ive pictured or 70/80s Ford/BL/Rootes/Vauxhall 1/43 let me know, im sure to be interested! Also, Lobster, please do tell me when the Astra MKII models arrive (as Kadetts but i forget the generation etc) as im buying one of them. Thankyou!

This is a good link, it shows you the majority of Vanguards releases over the years. Use it for reference only though unless you're prepared to pay wild euro prices!

I'll start posting again properly soon, just had a very busy time of it lately what with my sister getting married on Friday & all the accompanying get togethers which seem to have lasted for weeks. I'm tied up with work for a lot of this week too so will only be making sporadic posts as & when I can. I can see I have much to catch up with... :)

excellent link regie, crazy prices like you said though but it makes for good referance.I ordered my first Minichamps model for a while today, an Escort MKIII convertable, as it was the only shite model in a sale a website I visit had.
