I was doing the same last night - just outbid on an almond Rover P6 (with the non-S wheels), but hey any higher and it would of come to a tenner which I couldn't justify for something that was just going to sit on my desk at work. Also waiting to see if I can get a relatively cheap bid on a gold SD1 SE

nice buy Ian, i just won a Schabak Escort Estate, weird to think they made a model of every bodyshape of the MKV.

That rover 800 always eludes me, i have a bid on one right now, 3rd time lucky i hope.

Here's my Rover,it's a really nice model.Shame they didn't do a coupe though :(

Also regarding the MK3 capri, yeh for some reason people charge copius amounts for them, dont know why, perhaps they got sold out quickly, as i know minichamps makes things very limited.

Lobster, I have my eye on that Astra/Kadett Estate you do.

Oh just won a Gama Astra MKII convertable, pricey, but Ive never seen one before.

Definately concentrating on Ford and Vauxhall right now.

Minichamps Capri's have sold out very quickly. The last one they produced - blue / silver 2.8i I think - we sold all our allocation of about 30 within the space of a couple of days. And they now fetch very strong money if you can find them. Some stuff is like that, most Capri models are the same, the recently released Vanguards Capri 3.0 in Orange sold out very quickly as well.

Yes there is a MkI Orion in the range, I have so far resisted paying over the odds from a foreign eBayer because I've been waiting for you to get it into stock! (same with the MkII Fiesta, MkII Passat, MkI Scirocco, Suzuki SJ, Opel Senator, MkII Polo, and a few others I still need that I can't remember right now :wink: )

Not sure if we will ever get them tbh. They are not actually 'supposed' to come to the UK at all. There is one guy in France selling them to a UK wholesaler and it very much depends on what he can get / brings across as to id we can get them. I've spoken to the wholesaler about it numerous times but he doesn't know whether the rest of the collection will become available here though. I have given them an order if they do though!

Can I get a 1:43 FSO anywhere???

There's only this appropriately shite model of this very shite car, I bought one from this site a few years ago so I know how rubbish it is. BUT it is a 1/43 Polonez & it's all there is plus it's an authentic Polish model too....in the finest cheap plastic!

The Volvo 440 I posted previously after I dropped it on the floor

I think I'm jinxed with this model, I was previously watching one on eBay a few years back, it was on a buy it now, I think I had made a few purchases already so I held back & somebody else ended up buying it. I will get one one day! :(

Can't see this till I get home, eBay blocked. Is this one of those 10 wheeled monsters? The one that I myself have been trying to get?My hobby is so neglected at the moment. I feel no closer to picking it up again than at any point since the summer began :(

MODEL BUYERS BEWARE. Three weeks ago I ordered a model from this guy:http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/brianbillie/It never turned up so I had to go through paypal. Now this fella has been trying to bid on my stuff (presumably to recoup what he was forced to refund / counter feedback) and is sending me a load of shitty emails. So you have been warned!

This is strange, I've bought from brianbillie several times over the years & never had a problem, admittedly not recently though! Got too big for their boots?? I always noticed they were based in Swanage & wondered if they were anything to do with the model shop in the main street. I think the 'brianbillie' franchise is actually bigger though...

Happy to say I have every single Minichamps Capri MkIII so far released. I got them all mainly because I just fancied them, didn't think about the investment side of things which has turned out to be very sound! I thought about the Vanguards 2.8i in caspian blue but opted for the Minichamps model of the same car. The Vanguards one may have doubled in value but so has the Minichamps one which was double the value of the Vanguards one in the first place! Of the MkIs & IIs though, I don't have too many. MkIs = 1 Minichamps 2600 RS in white with black bonnet, 1 Detail Cars 2600 in red with black vinyl roof. MkIIs = Minichamps in yellow, orange, green that's about it I think. I think the shape is spot on & from the front looks the business but just wish they'd got the rear lights correct, so I will be forced to purchase a more accurate MkII from someone else if one is forthcoming. However I was very happy to add the Minichamps MkIIs to my collection, rear light error or not as I know of only 1 other MkII model in 1/43 by Luso Toys which isn't anything spectacular! There was the Matchbox Super Kings one but it isn't exactly 1/43 & is primarily a toy.

pictures of the most recent arrivals, as you can see from these pictures i have had to reorganise my display onto a different display unit!

Corgi 3-Series, mint, and has a box too, which smells like every old toy store, brought back memories.

Posted Image

Also mint, the rear seats even fold down, ingenious.

Posted Image

Probably the hardest one to find, apparently all versions of these are rare, but even so, only cost me a quid.

Posted Image

The amount of writing corgi cast onto the boot is mental, it reads

AUSTIN MINIMETRO 1.3 HLS.

Posted Image

Another 'rare' vanguard, i have since sold the police one i had.

Posted Image

Buff, interesting comparison to the vanguards escort too.

Posted Image

Not new ones, but probably my favourites.[/img]

Hmmm. Would have thought that would have arrived by now. Postal strike probably holding it up. Wish DHL were cheap enough to send smaller items - we are sending a lot more bigger parcels by DHL but it's not really cost effective on smaller / single items.

Is that the black one? I have the black & the silver, the former bought this year at the Bromley Pageant & the latter bought last year in Malta. Thinking about getting another black one for selling purposes. I was a bit of a Ford freak at the Pageant this year, I could only stretch to 2 models, so I came home with the Minichamps XR2 & the Vanguards XR3 (both of which happened to be black) ! :D

Both 1/43? I don't really buy things like Bburagos anymore purely because I prefer to stick to just 1/43 & Bburago 1/43's are verging more on the toy territory rather than collectors' models, being rather basic & lacking in detail & refinement. Some of the castings are very good though, and I'm not aware of any other models of the 300C so that's exactly the sort of Bburago I'd be happy to find a home for!
