Ah yes the K reg Marina, did you check out any of the other shite in front of the garage?

What were you up in Leeds for Mat?

Liking that shortcut 104. Was it on French plates? My vision is too pixelated to make it out. I know they sold that version of the 104 well into 1987/88 in France - long after it had been disposed by the magnificent 205.

Should probably update this, and reply the original questions

Darren: the 104 was on French plates, I have no idea what happened to my camera there. Interesting the here that the 104 soldiered on for so long, I presume it was sold as a base model for those who couldn’t afford a 205

Craig: I did notice that there were more interesting things in front of the marina, but was in a bit of a rush, I had intended to go back later but never got round to it. I was in Leeds visiting mates at the Uni (so in other words had a big pissup)

Was that a Solido model in a yellowish rally livery?

See to me this is the perfect Mini. Used to be an identical x-reg one in a town called South Queensferry back in the late 90-s that i fell in love with. Black bumpers and Austin-Morris badges no doubt but still 10- inch wheels 8)

That 323's interior has been completely ruined by the damp!

That 323's been there since 1991?! How many 2000 cars are gonna be in the same spot now in 2025??Loving the mini, I should get some pics of mine on here soon, 1981 HL in Mace (poo brown) with matching tartan interoir... black bumpers and grille too...

Some good stuff there. Fave's gotta be the Mk 1 Zephyr though, super-cool!

I went back to the farm with the 323's on today, and got the gt steering wheel for my 323. The farmer also showed me some of the other shite that is lurking about the place, which includes a mk3 cortina with no sills and a tree growing out of it, a mk2 4dr escort with bull bars in a pond  also a 60's bedford van, Ford Thames and a Ford A? series as well as loads of tracktors nothing build before 1980! I will probably got back with a decent camera next week.

That looks like a fairly amazing place, where is it, and what's the story?

Posted

a local land owner rents out barn space to car enthusiasts, the cars i took photos of were in the overflow car park  The cars are owned by about 5 different people. Some havent moved in ages some have been worked on recently - the grey viva with seats on the roof has had recent welding done.

Posted

Where about's is this, a I might be looking for somewhere a bit cheaper but with more space to store some shite.

At the moment I'm paying £40 a month for a garage in which you cant really fit a Rover 800 unless you take the bumpers off :(

its in north essex, the place is a haven for shite, quite alot of reliant 3 wheeler owners have stuff stored there :?

On the subject of that Brown Marina estate in Leeds - it's gotta be one of the most spotted cars! At least 4 people (including) myself have put it up here. However, I STILL keep forgetting to check the reg no. against the identical one in 'Threads'.I would so make an offer if it turned out to be the same one.Stranger things have happened!
