Anyone on here got access to DVLA records, or knows someone who has?

Need to know the registered keeper of a vehicle....long story, but it will complete my case against a bullshitter of biblical proportions!

Ta!

Not easily done really, you can post the DVLA a letter and a few quid to request them, but unless you lie about the reason for wanting the data they won't give it out.

Am considering bribing a "Private Parking" company, who are DVLA licenced....or making friends with a bailiff.....

Also on the vehicle enquiry thingy, the tax expires 1/12/12, but doesn't say how much the new tax will be.

Date of Liability 01 12 2012

Date of First Registration 23 12 2009

Year of Manufacture 2009

Cylinder Capacity (cc) 1560cc

CO2 Emissions 140g/Km

Fuel Type HEAVY OIL

Export Marker N

Vehicle Status Licence Due to Expire

Vehicle Colour SILVER

Vehicle Type Approval M1

Does this mean it's on disabled tax?

I think you've pretty much got to be a copper to get this info and any officer worth his/her salt is unlikely to divulge such information.

Nope, it's just a low emission Peugeot/Citroen. Zero VED.

I doubt any of the private parking compaies would give you any info, many of the big players have been banned from accessing the DVLA database for three months for using creative wording on signage - the DVLA are finally getting hot on them abusing the system so they are all running scared.

Bumcakes.

Thanks for that WTC, didn't think of that....

Well, i'm hoping that something will come my way, got a chance to hammer this bloke for all sorts, including perjury (sic?), need all the info I can gather.

Cheers.

You may be able to get this information from the DVLA if you have reasonable cause to have it or a solicitor may be able to on your behalf. For example if the said vehicle is dumped/parked on your land, has caused damage to your property, been involved with a hit and run or theft. The form you need is a V888, download the guidance notes for this form from the DVLA and see if you think you qualify for the information, there is a £5 fee to acquire this information but it must be used for the purposes you have said otherwise you could end up in alot of trouble (no using it to go round the owners house and give him a kicking). You can get the form here http://www.dft.gov.uk/dvla/forms/onlineforms.aspx hope this has helped.

140g/km should be £120.

Ah well, perhaps you can give that to a charity or something.
