well, this is what I bought last Friday, hopefully. I'm getting less and less excited about house buying nowadays as I realise that they can all slip through!

Has a small double garage, two workshops plus an office in the outbuildings!

and off road parking for seven vehicles - or even more if they get rid of the stonking huge yacht in the front driveway! That'll be fun!!!!

Nice, and well worth showing off! Outbuildings look adequate, I suppose

it's the selling of a house in Causewayhead that's helping buy it - just back from Stirling clearing it out - four days, four skips ...

Nice house & garden - we didn't drive beyond Monmouth (from Chepstow) but I suppose it's comparable to the countryside there?

the scenery is nicer - it's a small village of about 1000 people with a good pub and is on the side of a valley so some great walks and views. The Forest of Dean is absolutely stunning and still cheap in real terms for houses, certainly in comparison to the other side of the Severn.

Sounds great!

If I lived around there I'd probably drive to Raglan Castle every weekend, I think it was my favourite - nice cafe with great soup next door as well.

Looks very nice, hopefully it all goes through for you.

Off road parking for 7 cars ... what's that in XM's 4?

lol - remember I balance the XMs with smaller cars ;-)

That looks brilliant, nice one. Hope it all goes smoothly.

Very Nice, though sadly I would be looking at the outbuilding and thinking "Hmmm, nice self contained flat for my son there".

Drat, I was hoping this would be a thread about someone who lives in a right rubbish old car. There was a bloke used to live in a van near me.

We spend a fortnight every year near Monmouth, one of the areas we are thinking about moving to in a couple of years time... 8)

Whoa, that is nice. All that parking, and some house with it too.

Just saw the asking price on Rightmove, you'd get nothing with outbuildings round here for that :(

Looks well smart, hope it all goes through OK.

The housing market up here has totally collapsed, we've got a small shite flat that's been on the market over a year without a sniff. :x

Very nice house indeed. 8)

Ample off road parking, garaging and workshops are mandatory for all shiters.

Nice. So will you be filling the garden with old motors to return to earth or simply tarmacking the whole lot for more shite parking?

Sold a house in Stirling hopefully for a grand less than the survey valuation with 20 viewings in three weeks. Price and location are still everything.

I made an offer £35000 less than the asking price on the new house. You can't buy that kind of house in Gloucester for less than 300k
