Ooh, lovely, is it a 1.6?

Nice MG! what year is it? classic and sportscar had the hots for these when they were new, featured it on their front cover I think. Extra shite points if its a 1600. What happened to that (black?) magnum?

He's a 2.0 litre which makes him shift and still pretty good on fuel. Had to sell the Magnum due to financial reasons :( but am actually loving driving what feels like a modern ish car :D And having seen the link on retrorides I would love to know more if anyone can help as according to the v5c, it hadnt changed hands in over 4 years?

I had a white one on a C plate,it was my first car after riding superbikes for years - it went well enough to keep me entertained and handled so well that I didn't even manage to stuff it through a hedge.

It used to get a bit 'floaty' on A roads over about 90 though, which I thought disappointing until a mate explained that if I wanted to do motorbike speeds in a car I'd need to spend a fair bit more than £800. :)

Looking great. 8)

My parents had an MG 1600 with the tempramental R series engine. That was OK but the digital dashboard disliked hot summers and refused to work.

I am a biker too (Thunderace, RZR350, KMX200) and the only car that came close to bike performance was my old Scooby but hell, it was thirsty, expensive to insure and too low. Bike for speed and freedom, old shite car for fun and individuality! Pic of mine and my mates car when we met up yesterday:

Ahhh lovely.... I had one of those back in the late eighties. I still remember the day when she (the talking dash bit) said....

"Bing Bong, Warning, Low ***Bang, sound of metallic objects bouncing off the and scattering down the road followed by silence*** Oil Pressure."

Epic.
