'Myself and cms206 (and possibly my mate Ryan with his Automerdé 1.6 auto Megane) will be going in convoy. Meetup at Harthill M8 Services Eastbound approx 1830 - 1845 then via rml245's place to get him into the convoy.'

 

Im booking the table tonight so if you want me to add your name just PM me and I will sort it out.

Convoy Update:

 

rml245 is meeting us at Harthill services rather than us having to swing past his place near Bathgate on the way there. So.....

 

New details:

Harthill Services, M8 Eastbound. Parking at the right hand side of the petrol station.

1900 or 7pm in Roman Catholic

 

Current attendance seems to be myself, cms206, rml245 and my mate who isn't on here. blackboilersuit mentioned on the 999 forums he may be there too.

 

As Dick Plant would say - no overruns. Once the Radio 2 News kicks off at 7pm so shall we. If you're late then I can't imagine it would be particularly hard to spot 3 Volvo 740s trundling down the motorway.

I'll be joining the M8 convoy if you'll let something other than a Volvo 740 in. The stereo in the disco only picks up one radio station, just as well its radio 2

Yes the Gold Monty is for sale. Its currently parked at my folks place as we have no room for it (at the inn) after acquiring the EFI. Going to sorn it today. Cant afford to keep three on the road and if it just sits there it wont last! Also the problem of space is an issue as we have been parking one of the cars out on the street for the last couple of months and not ideal over the winter. Want it to go to a good home so will leave it on the Bay for now and maybe re-list it at the start of the new season.

Thanks again guys for a really great night. Good location, food was tasty and quite cheap which is what we all like. Really nice to see a couple of new faces at this meet. Loved the random Christmas set up for the table and the totally shite cracker content - Did anyone take a photo of the tat?

Another good turnout, good food and the obligatory Volvo convoy. The recently for sale Renner 18 passing at a phenominal rate of knots was a highlight of the journey...

haha, Piloting the Renault was me, although I don't remember that I was particularly booting it at the time. I'm temporary custodian of it as it's passing on to another shiter ( i think) in the next couple of weeks but I've been using it meantime. It's been averaging easily over 50 mpg on a run - at the time I passed you I was on my way up to Aberdeen, a trip I've done a few times in it and it takes it on with ease. Its a decent old barge actually, just hope its not too rotten to prevent it getting another MoT.

 

I've obviously totally missed the thread about last nights meeting or I'd have showed face. I did wonder when I passed the convoy of tat...
