1978 Chevrolet Wagons Brochure

I believe I posted up a 1979 Chevrolet Wagon brochure a while back, here is a somewhat manky 1978 version of the same.

Fight it all you want, you know you want that red interior.

Excellent! 8)

I love these cheesy 70s Yank tanks, the interiors with seats upholstered by my Nan and the wonderful 'wood-u-like' dashboards. I can hear the tyre squeal from here.... :mrgreen:

I'll have mine in Beige with formica exterior trim, beige interior with faux wood dash and brown steering wheel, comfortron air con, AM/FM radio with 8 track and CB radio.

YEEEEE HAAAAAAAA

Great stuff! How did they resist the temptation to use photographs of the cars with the all-american type family: Mom and Dad with blonde kids and a dog? Vinyl interiors lovely -just hose them out once a month with the jetwash.

I really the like the Impala and Caprice wagons and can't help thinking that Jan Wilsgaard was inspired by them when he designed the Volvo 740 estate car :wink:

Designed?? :shock::shock:

The Volvo 700 estate was "designed"? :lol:

Sorry, no offence intended - just a little Saab humour there. :wink:

I think that many Volvo owners are of the same opinion :lol:

I always thought the Impala was the posh one - but it gets vinyl where the Caprice gets cloth, so... :|

The Suburban pulling the jet stream for me! love that brochure, especially the stock semi aspirational backdrops that always tend to come up! Was it possible to order any of those for uk delivery?

That Monza thing is quite nice. Looks more european than yank to me.

I believe certain models could be ordered new from the likes of Lendrum & Hartman way back when. Regardless, it isn't that difficult to find UK-based examples of the full-size and Suburban ranges now. The Malibu is related to the Buick Century I had (I even had the 231 V6) so I'd have no hesitation in picking one of those. And yes, red interior for me, I love them.

If he wasn't, he should have been!

Of course the 700 series was designed - with an Etch-a-Sketch! :wink:
