Absolutely brilliant photos Tony, just looked through the full set. You captured the spirit of the event perfectly.

I really need to get a decent camera too.....!

This looks like a right laugh, I’m gutted to have missed it. Those shots of Binhoker ‘working it’ for the camera in his John Deere overalls are class!

This looks like it was proper good, bit fed up that I couldn't make it. Next year hopefully!

Apart from the number plate being UK, this could easilly be some sort of still from a 70's Dutch cop show....

This thread is full of WIN :D

Superb.

Top work oldford

Am I imagining things or did the beta become lhd for the dvd?

While you're all being E-BULLIES, everyone seems to have overlooked the rather unusual dance moves going on to the right of this FSO...

Half Vic Reeves-style leg stroking, half actual stroking of said car. The quizzical, deadly serious look on the faces of everyone else just adds to the mystery...

oldford that's brilliant!! I'd buy the DVD (:

going through my shite pic's, I've found a few more for Flickr

I'm wracking my brains for an explanation :?

It's still light so I wasn't that drunk, so I'm either playing basket ball with an invisible ball, or about to do a back filp

Posted

That would explain the squashed hood on my Golf...

Good work on the DVD cover John, that's given me a great idea for a game...

Posted

It would have been a bit painful if he had landed on the roof of my van after the backflip with the amount of aerials I have on it!

Posted

He's clearly demonstrating through interpretive Mime dance what the car is in front of him.

As usual, a little late to the party with my pics...

I arrived at the Pony seller's home in Walsall about five minutes before Phil did, just time enough for a poke around.

At the piss 'n' pez stop:

We pulled in again at the end of Andy2.0's road to pap this, and check we were on the right track.

That's where the plug-in hybrid BX didn't want to start again, but we were soon on the road for the last five minutes to the comedy address.

I wondered how my blanket got wet... At first I thought it had rained, but it turns out everyone pissed themselves laughing...

I can confirm that is indeed the case!

Spectacularly moody dusk:

Next morning, Phil had to partially dismantle the Caramac interior to persuade it to swallow the Rover front end I brought him; eventually it went in ok.

Sir Ian D. Wobbler proudly* took the prize for "Most Epic Shed".

The ex-Bollx BB2.0 daily had Mash and me drooling:

My lie-in was not* due to the drink, but because the airbed was a winning solution.

Wuvz is struck once again by the "ooh, I could really enjoy having one of these" face. A chronic sufferer.

Fresh-as-a-daisy CMS packs his mates into the £150 battlebus and hits the road once again:

I tagged onto the back of the convoy to the museum...

P1090098.jpg

...so as not to smoke anyone out.

P1090103.jpg

But the line split, and I was left behind in some random town. Luckily Phil answered his phone and I found them at the museum.

These two led the line of tat. What did leafy Wiltshire think, I wonder?

P1090115.jpg

We had a wonder around the Armstrong Siddeley and Bristol owners club motors, which were there for the day. A bit over my head I'm afraid...

Once inside, RobT fell in 'LOV' with this Maxi.

We were given a guided tour of Issigonis's personal car, a 1500 gearless Mini.

There's loads more pictures here from our great weekend at Andy's, the Atwell Wilson museum, and my spots from the journeys here:

And back on the lonely journey North at a fairly steady 60mph, I managed 49.5mpg, which is not bad considering I only usually get low 30's up hill and down dale on my short journeys near to home.

A big thank you to everyone for coming, I could thank each and everyone individually but that'd bore the rest of you. I was SO lucky to be free to go myself. Highlight of the year for sure.

P1090220.jpg

But special thanks of course to Andy2.0 for bringing it all together. Just for you, a Lancia Lybra spotted on my way home. Happy days.

 I'm loving these photo updates, that old couple with the Corgi was brilliant, I bet they owned that rusty old Armstrong having owned it since new and only getting getting it out the garage on special occasions.

It was also good to see Seths Hillman at long last, It look quite at home park on a suburban street opposite these houses.

I'm a bit annoyed I wasn't there.

I could have been, easy enough. Always another year though.

Was desperately ringing round workmates on Friday afternoon asking them to cover my shift on Saturday so I could come down with Joe but they were all at some gig in Milton Keynes.

My best guess is everyone is watching him curl a turd out...
