Hello folks,

 

Time has come to sell my trusty Passat due to imminent arrival of new car.

 

10 months MOT, 3 months tax

 

Car is the most dependable I have ever owned - has never let me down and is capable of 50mpg+

 

192,000 miles, but don't let it put you off - the engine is in excellent health and uses no oil and water. No leaks whatsoever.

 

This is the 1997 model year so has the older TDi engine without all the expensive PD nonsense. Very straight forward and reliable.

 

The car drives really well and I'm going to be sorry to see it go. Has electric front windows, Panasonic CD-player and electric mirrors.

 

Underneath the car is very clean and solid.

 

Drives excellent.

 

Car is located in Staffordshire, 10 minutes from M6 junction 14.

On a lighter note do you happen to know what FLAVA of TDi it is please, i.e what power output? No promises but if it's defo a 130 I *might* know someone who'll want it.

It's a defo 110bhp, but I'm told that it is a relatively straightforward affair to extract more power with a remap.

Yeah, the 110 non-PD goes to 135 or so with just a remap, to get 150+ levels you need the 130 injectors and the remap.

My boring is a 110 and I bought it instead of a pd (130) as they're simpler mechanics and can be run on veg oil. The passat is a similar engine except has more space in the engine bay, so easier to work on

Posted on Gumtree last night and have had much muppetry on the phone all day. Most calls from people that don't appear to speak any English whatsoever. Yesterday AT HALF PAST MIDNIGHT some chap up the road in Stoke says he is mad keen for it, 'sorry for calling late, etc., I'll come look at it tomorrow' - and then doesn't show up after I've stayed in.

 

I really hate dealing with this sort of bollocks so £500 in the hope of attracting a potential genuine buyer.
