What do ya reckon? It's local to me, and if it were a little cheaper, I might be able to fund it, and sell again after summer without losing too much?

I can't understand why these things are so damned expensive, but it doesnt look bad VFM compared to some.

would it run on veg oil?

Oh dear no, far too fancy and well equipped!

I like that. Doesn't look bad value although I wonder how bad the rust mentioned is.

You could probably move it on in six months without having lost much on it though.

I should have nemtioned, i mam restricted in the there is myslelf, my two kids, and my lady and her wee one... if it were just the two of us, i know where a starcraft the same as posted is sitting idle.....

It does look fab, but shirley the shitist's mainstream option would be a bambi?

Surely a C15 Romahome (with pound shop hubcaps) would be the shiter's ideal holiday companion?

Getting back to the vehicle in question, I think that looks pretty good? Can you get anything of that size cheaper? Compared to 5k for a Mazda um bongoo it seems like a steal?

It does seem pretty well priced in the crazy world of motor home money. I'd certainly be asking for pictures of the bits he mentioned, along with door bottoms and inner/outer wing close ups, as they can rot like a bastard.

LOL@ 'The price is non negotiable' and '£5,500-submit best offer'

STARCRAFT!!!!

My pal had one of these in and I see a smashed up one every year on Long Marston Airfield when I go to Globalgathering.

This would be my camper weapon of choice - 6 wheels and a million times cooler than them stupid bloody Volkswagen Bus things!!

ETA: I'd change the wheels though!

Sorry, not shite enough. Buy this instead:

CF2 was not actually the facelift. Only the facelift with the later engines. I admit it seems late for a pre-facelift, but as a camper, perhaps it took a while to be built and road-registered?

Seems it's been sold... Nice looking van for the money.

Was it Kinks? I assume not?

nah, not me... was waiting for detailed pics of rust. ach well......... back to plan A... 90's renault master ambulance and some z beds...

Did you wild in that carpark, MM? I'm thinking of it as a nice stop-off on the way north to Skye later this year.

As regards the pre-facelift CF front, I am in agreeance that the van probably sat around for a bit before registration.

Nope, we stayed mostly in glencoe, just stopped off in fort william for some winter climbing gear as ben nevis was on the agenda. Ended up trudging through 1-2ft snow! great fun :) Cant see a problem with crashing there tho to be honest, Ive never heard of anyone being shifted and i know a few people who use it often. Enjoy your trip to skye tho, theres nowhere like it

Spent 6 months sleeping in the top of one of these on my uncles farm in dunning, perth. I was 19 and i cherished that old camper, tho while crossing a canal bridge through linlithgow the gear stick came right out of the box! With my uncles know how with an old scouts knot and a jumper the stick was (somehow) back in an good to go. Drove to carlisle with it!

Nah jus found a big enough layby an set up there, spent a few nights just down the road from red squirrel campsite and one night in glen nevis campsite. but the rest was just wherever we ended up. If anyones into downhill / cross country mtb Glentress is the place to be, stayed last 2 weekends at the top car park 'buzzards nest' with a 3quid parking fee! whole weekend of rapid - stump jumpin - tree dodging - madness if your into that kinda thing

If he's not in any hurry I could fancy that, rather heavily! :D I like the ol' CF. More details?

For me, it would have to be something like this. Good old rolypoly Commer vans. I will have one some day.

I'd prefer one with this body on though.

Mmmm... Posh Autoshitey.

Edited to add: Just refound this picture I was looking for. This is the best body shape I've seen on a Commer and I'm pretty sure it's just a chopped up caravan.
