How many bad actors got crushed to death!? Tell me! Tell me!!!!!

Yes, was it time for another clear out?

I'm looking forward to tonight's show. It's the one with the classic rally. Look out for a dubious hairy bloke with a camera during the auction scenes as I was there...Then look out later for hilarious bodyroll from the Ami. Just hope they didn't drop a piano on it at the end...

Fantastic episode!Very funny and they showed that they do have a genune love for cars at last, They even ended up buying and keeping the cars they drove in, And that Ami!, GR8 4 Body Roll FTW!

You gotta love the Ami, what a truly splendid piece of kit.

Aye, it is gorgeous. I drove it some months before the filming as I was tempted to have a bid on it myself. Had no idea at the time that James May would end up taking it to Mallorca!Bit miffed with the footage though. It wasn't as amusing as it should have been. Glad they did find some joy in old motors though.

I thought that was a great episode.I'm now going to go and see how many of them are complaining about it on the Practical Classics forum...

They're obviously not bothered; only 3 comments, and one of them was you Pete!!

I think the popularity of the Ami is about to rise...

I wanted it as was, but they managed to make it more gorgeous.

I doubt anyone would be complaining about it tonight, seeing as though they didn`t smash anything up. Quite the opposite, in fact, the Lanchester was probably treated to quite a bit of remedial work before the rally.Tonight`s show was an indication of what is possible - plenty there for the usual crowd, a bit of something to tempt folk like me in and no-one`s choice of car gets made into a laughing stock or unnecessarily depleted. More of this, and less of last week and Top Gear could easily turn into a half-decent show while if anything increasing the viewing figures.

Yes, we must talk about it lots! Or they'll go back to smashing up Marinas...

Just watched on the old iPlayer. Really good episode - much hilarity.AMI was star of the show for me (of course) but whole thing gave laffs. Splendid show nonetheless 8)

Pretty much the first episode of this series I've watched (as have got a little tired of TG), but, like the previous posters, I thought tonight's episode was class. That Ami (& James May's co-driver) were ace & no smashing up of the cars afterwards. Will be tuning in next week.....

In that case, I shall fire up iPlayer tonight and watch it!

After last weeks hilarity, I found this weeks episode dissapointing, The VW advert part was completely pointless, apart from a partial roadtest of a Scirocco, and they have still not covered lots of things 'promised' as part of this series, i.e. airport vehicle race etc. Has something happened to cut the series short?

Yup. I think the ideas are running out. Trying to be arty with the Aston bit at the end made it look like they'd had to cancel the script-writing session at the last minute, so just took some nice shots - and most of those weren't up to their usual high standard. No old cars. That was the biggest problem!

well personally i liked the ending bit, genuinely a bit sad.But i guess it depends on your views of modern cars.Yeh the airport race didnt get broadcast, which is dissappointing.I presume it may surface on a dvd release next year?

I fell asleep half way through last night's episode - what happened at the end?

Those Aussie things were fookin awesome - the supercharged one sounded like a spitfire (supermarine not triumph) Also, Clarkson's ridiculous theory on crap car drivers being worse due to their lack of driving interest almost seemed plausible to me ....... for a while....Good series overall.

Certainly was Mr H.

I found it quite enjoyable last night, as said the VXR bathurst sounded epic, it gave me goosepimples 8)

And the Aston bit at the end, have I missed something, are Aston closing down? because unless they are, or they're moving onto making purely GT's and saloons, then they will make an even better car, it stands to reason.

Although TG can still be pretty hilarious at times, and James May is a true legend, I'm starting to find Hammond pretty unbearable. He ought to just stick to doing kids tv or whatever.

There was a bit last night which I'm sure Mr HS will agree with, and made a bit of roffle come out; while they were discussing Philpe Massa's injury, they said that that was the same as Hammonds's, brain-wise. They then said - joking?- "Will it turn Massa into an irritating little arse"?Many a true word spoken in jest (although, he was probably always an irritating little arse...)

Yep Outlaw, that was a laugh-out-loud moment.
