Bird Shit?

Spotted this numberplate-less middle-class beauty for sale near work today.

No tax, and the test expired over a year ago.

That doesn't bother me. What about all this bird shit? Jet wash and a T-Cut, or time for a bonnet from a scrappy?

The third option would be to pour brake fluid over the shit to finish off the paint totally, and call it patina?

I love your Avatar Ross. It looks like a limited edition album cover from The Carpenters.

Bird shit? Are you sure that wasn't hit by the Flying Tyrone cows?

There's probably a year's worth of shit on it and the brakes are rusted to fuck all round. It's a 2001 1.4 so I'd give €300-400 for it the way it is, but you know VW folk - the owner's probably looking for two grand cos loike it's a Golf innit?

I'd say your estimate was spot on. God knows what has happened to the electrics/ecu/whatever after sitting on a damp patch of grass for a year!

I just want to know why Warren T Claim is holding a parrot.

Chances are with a new battery,It might still be fairly healthy - them Golf's are pretty tough. Start at about £250 and work upwards;it will most likely want a cambelt and a good recomissioning,so won't be cheap to do,so have to work out what a already running one is worth, then work out the repairs/recommisioning,and work out what its gonna cost to break even.If the pads are removed, and the rust all cleaned out and copper compounded in ( rears will almost certainly be rusted in ),the discs might clean up with a little use - bung it in for a MOT and await the autopsy report !
