Liking the 604 and 505 used to have access to one back in the mid 80's , hidden behind the stamp was/is a definite peugeot of the recent 2000s

The building has grown by another storey?!

Better car content in the olden days.

Trying looking at the picture without the stamp in the middle . It's more like 2015

Impossible, i count at least 6 Tagora in that picture, there were not that many left in 2015.

I think the the postcard publisher photoshopped the new cars into the background so he can keep selling the old shot to discerning british tourists.

I was thinking the same , one of the best things I ever did was not buying a Talbot !!!

This shithole is called Kamloops and it's in that Canada the head of state of which is Dizzy Lizzy.

I guess there aren't many places on Earth where DSes mingled with '61 New Yorkers and '59 Caddy floppytops.

Outside France, that is.

Is that a Morris Oxford behind the '59 Rambler Wagon on the left?

Suvretta House in St Moritz, Switzerland.

I don't even want to know the shady deal that was involved for a Duesenberg S Le Baron Town Car ending up there.

The Swiss. The only people that manage to commit war crimes without participating.

They bought split-screen Minors, though, bless'em.....

No!   I think they are brilliant - especially those which render about 10 cars in the street the same bilious yellow that only Gatwick Airport or the AA would have specified.

That was that gahdam Democrat again. But we'll catch him sooner or later.

Some rather ham-fisted colourisationising going on here (but it is Gt Yarmouth):

The Minor Traveller has ended up with a rather curious colour scheme. The '7' on the right looks a little dubious too......

Looks like the postcard publishers were still at it in the 1980s:

For the sake of completeness, another one of Rhos-on-Sea.

This is actually pretty interesting, not so much for the Audi 100 Coupe (unusual sight as it may have been) but for the Datsun by the bus stop which is remarkably still around:

Only a true shiter recognises a car thirty five years after it appeared on a discarded seaside postcard.....  Brilliant!

On another subject, that Mk1 Escort is almost certainly wearing a "Cust-O-Magic" side stripe - pre cut from quality* vinyl and available for popular models.  I can remember the small ads in Car Mechanics and Hot Car!

Oh My Fooking GOD

Ive just had a flashback ( and not a nice one) to Shearings coach holidays with the grandparents back in the 1970's to Gt Yarmouth and that ruddy clock.

What coaches did Shearings use then? Was it the Plaxton Paramount?

Good God, nothing so luxurious - Plaxton Panorama's based on some old Leyland underpinnings if my memory of the wheels was anything to go by.

There was me thinking it was a genuine sporty model......

Sorry. Have another view of it (Warning: Contains Freddie 'Parrotface' Davies content).............

Love the contrast between Mk3 Cortina 2dr and the Pop. Shame I didn't scan this in at a bigger size, but I think all the cars can be identified.

This one was sent in August at the end of the long, hot summer of 1976 to Grace from Mrs Bunting with the rather brief message "Lovely here after the storm so hot".

I would like to take the liberty to post a couple of the weapons grade shite postcards I have.

I bought this one in Malta.

In a fervour of foresightness completely untypically for me, I also snatched a picture book about Maltese buses at the time.

I can't possibly clad in appropriate lyrics how glad I am that I did it.

This might be moderately interesting for those who are moderately interested in such stuff
- an ex RATP TN6C obviously used as a skiers' shuttle in the 1960s.

Looks like they had several:

Also note the super rare 2CV Week-End in this pic.
