Stahlberg (and Emek) galore:

http://www.fintoys.com/menu_promain.html

Some of the links seem to be out of order, but you can Google them

The DAF is a Volvo 66 Estate. They came in two versions: the DL (single headlights) and the GL (double headlights). If you look closely, you can see that they changed DL and GL on the casting. As they were mostly sold as promos, they had to follow the modelyears.

Beautiful and expensive

I got this the other day, it's a Maisto effort. Not bad but the Matchbox one is a bit less crude and a bit more detailed. I have a Gene Hunt red Matchbox one somewhere, and a Superkings Quattro that IIRC I got off Bucketeer?

I really like model ur-quattros for some reason. Wouldn't mind a 1:1 Audi Coupe either but they've fallen victim to VAG tax lately.

There’s a UR Quattro sat in a garden a few miles from mine, pass it on the bus. Sat on some wet grass for at least 5-6 years so very likely rotten as fuck underneath.

The Maisto one looks almost an exact copy of the Matchbox one.

Guisval Renault 9.

Sadly this is missing a door and headlight.

But never seen one before,so I bought it.

I have the R21 but with adverts for a brand of fags on it. As far as I know never sold in the UK. Spain only.

I like that R21!.post-20043-0-09436400-1510671408_thumb.jpg

Here's some I impulse bought a few weeks back. I might start a decent Majorette collection...

Novacar stuff looks quite lightly built but decent detail and proportions.

The Calibra was bought because France 98 was the world cup I first recall, and I had that very toy as a child, it didn't survive.

Corgi bond bug.

In quite good condition.

Think this is my favourite of the lot.

Jag control car is a close second though.

If you're interested in any more Novacar, I've a few unboxed ones that I've no real need for - I'm trying to get my collection focused again! If memory serves it includes another Espace ambulance, a Chevrolet Caprice police car (Majorette casting, from the look of it), Nissan Terrano 1, Nissan 300ZX, and some sort of Formula 1 effort. I had the white 605, but passed that on to a Peugeot fanatic on the AS Facebook group. My local Toymaster punted them out at around 50p a pop back in the mid-90s... no pressure, just pm me if you've any interest and I'll fire you over some pics.

Novacar used to be sold in the Poundland when they first opened. The 605 is quite a decent model.

Yeah it's really well cast. The Majorette 405 is a bit crude in comparison. Heavier though...

These arrived today. By a company called Smer.

I was particularly attracted to the plain one as it's the same colour as mine on the box.

Though it turns out it's red. Then again it doesn't have alloy wheels, sunroof or boot spoiler either. Fairly basic kit but should look decent enough with a bit of detailing.

The only difference between the standard car and rally car appears to be a transfer sheet.

Those Skoda kits were actually developped for Smer by Heller.

Why they chose the odd scale of 1/28 is beyond me, but I bought them as far back as the mid 90s,

that's how old the tooling is meanwhile.

I remember flogging the Heller snap fix Land Rover 109s that were Czech branded in the late 1990s, the stickers they come with are a bit naf tbh, the rear light stickers often try to peel offin the corners. With a bit of work, these can look reasonable.

I think I'll probably paint the lights, as you say the transfers look a bit shite. Also, according to the box the normal car is mk1 (offset badge with slot alongside) and the rally car a mk2 (central badge with slot either side) but they are both the same body which is actually a mk1.5 (central badge, no slot at all). Am I being picky? Anyway that suits me, that's what mine is.

And 1/28 seemed a bit odd to me too. 1/24 would be more common or 1/32 would be great as they'd go with my Scalextric cars but they're halfway in between. But I'm happy and I'll especially enjoy painting the interiors brown and beige.

I did see a 1/43 scale model of the mk2 Favorit estate, but it seems to have been a limited run and is like rocking horse crap, saw a review in German on youtube of it, looks like it was an Abrex in the later white box
