Parcels were awaiting my return home, the first with some generally tidy Matchbox inside

Such a great shape, one of my favourites as a kid along with the GT40. 5 inches lower that the GT40 too if memory serves. 😎

The Ferrari 250 GT Lusso was my favourite. I've not seen one on the road since the mid 1980s when I saw on near Groombridge in Kent. I remember back then thinking I'd still like one those and checked out the values. They were about £60,000 to £80,000 then, now they are in the millions and I don't think a lottery win would be enough.

By the way, the Ford P68 was not a success. It failed to finish in any race in which it was entered.

Sad twat alert! Never knew they stuck the glazing from the German issues on some of the 3.0 CSLs, it’s got the divot in it where the siren sits on the Polizei one.

Another impulse purchase via me supporting a new toy shop that’s just opened in my local town.

The Oxford Diecast 1/76 Austin Metro. Based on the real life 1980 1.0L bought for Diana Spencer by Prince Charles. I’m not a royalist especially and I expect this car which is now in Coventry Transport Museum was just a good exemplar to base the model on.

I think it captures the shape rather well. Boggo BL cars are rather underrepresented in diecast form, with most models based on the 6R4. I quite fancy the O D Maestro to go with it.

He must have really disliked that woman to buy her one of those, even the times the wife has done my head in with something, I wouldn’t have made her drive one of those heaps of shit. It’s tantamount to spousal abuse buying the wife a Metro 1.0, certainly reasons grounds for divorce. No wonder she went off with the ginger haired chap, I think I’d have done the same.

Quite a hard one to find the Mondeo, haven’t seen one for years.

I’m sure I’ve got one in touring car livery and another with turning wheels but I think that may be a Majorette?

Good job... except for painting Mk2 facelift lights onto a Mk1. Bit ug.

I'd have gone for Citrine yellow paint and made a bodykitted Si.

Spotted something unusual in a job lot (the rest are above), but I'll come back to that shortly. Firstly, the latest CMC effort landed today

Bases are very similar, just different rivets, made in China (thankfully quite small font on this one) and if I'm being critical, a bit of a rough finish on the jacks on the new one.
