Shite in Miniature II

Is anyone interested in an airbrush? Box is a bit wrinkly but everything is unused. Was going to stick it on ebay but thought I might offer it up here first just in case anyone wanted first dibs. It's the classic Revell starter kit, comes with red, white, clear gloss and cleaner.

I love that Fifties stuff....And the Ventura box art.  Perfect!

Love the Pete California Hauler! I forgot about these ERTL options in the kits, I had a Ford F-150 like that, I chose the flathead v8 option and stuck the souped up job in a Bburago Metro!

Well it's nearly pay day now so anything on the reasonable side around £15ish and hopefully below? Cheers!

Oops,I forgot about this last week.He still had it today,so I picked it up.It cost me £3.00,so £6.00 posted if you're still interested?

Great! That's arrived quick, only posted Saturday morning. I put other stuff in as I'm trying to consolidate what I'm collecting and just concentrate on a few different lines.

Another Minix restoration begins

All Vauxhalls are shit? This evidence suggests that is indeed the case

Much better. New wheels don't fit properly yet and the rear arches need some filing

post-5267-0-02195400-1463416469_thumb.jpg

The wheels came from this but it was too nice to scrap so I found these wheels on an American police car in my scrap box. Redtop-engined Victor maybe?

Good work!   Hadn't realised those Minix 101s made it to the black wheel stage.

I do remember seeing a dark grey FB around with wheels similar to that though and I think that did have a redtop....

I just added the best ever diecast toy to my collection.

I ambled to my local town centre today on the hunt for sweeties when lo!, I came across a magnificent piece of quality engineering in the form of a truck.

I asked the shopkeep how much it would cost to add this valuable piece of history to my collection.

When she told me the price I was shocked and amazed, indeed I was shamazed!

Here, gentlemen, is the piece in question for your delectation.

Feast your eyes on this tremendously high quality item and curb your jealous thoughts.

The mind boggles.

Now collect them all and hunt for a Series 1.

I'm still waiting for the price. Why you keep us guessing?

Project Victor is now finished and what a transformation - yes it is the same car as the manky blue one in the photos above! Unlike the previous ones this was brush-painted with 4 coats of Humbrol.

While waiting for the paint to dry I turned my attention to my very first Minix cars and tidied them up a bit. These were bought as painted shells with no glazing, interior or wheels about 15 years ago and have parts from Cararama Minis.

I was never really happy with the wheels on the Oxford Mk3 Cortina as it has the posh quad headlights and basic steels. New wheels swapped from a Cararama Capri

And the Cortina's old wheels look fine on the Capri

Also, the red version of the Oxford Volvo 245 done up as a fire brigade staff car

Fantastic!   Top pic looks like an HO scale of the office car park in my first job.....Bloke I was assigned to work with and learn from (he barely disguised his contempt) had a grey 101 which he alternated with a similarly hued Mk1 Cortina.   I thought he really won at life.

These Minix refurbs of yours are urging me on to start picking through my scrap model box......

ok so a couple of weeks ago, i picked up this van at the NEC toy fair. it is a Lesney Commer "TV Service Van".

i paid a massive £1 for it, it was unbranded, and missing the aerial, ladder and 3 tellys.

so a couple of days ago, a parcel arrived at home, it contained a set of waterslide decals (cost £1.80) and reproduction aerial ladder and tellys (cost £4.50) so now the van looks like this. and it must now be worth a whole £2, or even £3.

i have this restoration business sorted!

QS those are just smashing, you've really made something out of that Victor. I have a fair few old plastic 1/87 cars, think I've posted them up before though.

yesterday afternoon, as the rain was sylin' down there was a paint/toy interface incedent.

the police mini clubman i got off Egg, from this very forum a while ago, colided with a paint brush before rolling into some stickers.

this is the end result, i'm really pleased with it. and i hope that Egg, if he is reading, approves!

4SAIL!

I need to clear out some shite!

First up this Matchbox Kingsize car transporter. Missing a tyre and the ramp is snapped off. Previously enjoyed* with nice* patina. Made in Ingurlund.

post-17634-0-72010000-1463935954_thumb.jpg

Now these. Usual part work quality* which is to say bits rattling 'round the box. The Jag and the 2CV are perfect. The Toyota has a crack in the case and one of the wheel cap thingies is rattling around inside so will need glued back on. The Lotus has the fuel cap rattling around and I've also just noticed the passenger seat is loose inside the cabin because Lotus. Fuck me these were shite!

I may also have the mags to go with these if they are of any interest. I'll have a look. *EDIT* I haz magz!

Please feel free to make an offer on anything. More stuff to come as I dig it out. :)

Just received these two absolute HONEYZ from Sierraman. Judging by the condition of the Tipo I bought from him a few months ago, I knew they would be mint but I didn't realise that they were also in mint boxes! I am delighted with these 125%! I have been looking for these two for years and they are even harder to find like this. WOULD USE AGAIN.

Also received in the same package this random make up brush! I have a bigger one that the Mrs got me for dusting the cars so this will be ideal for the interiors.

Good man 😀
