Seriously good thread this. Street scenes are relatively so cluttered and aggressive these days. Calmer times.

As a lad I used to frequent Nina's on a Friday afternoon for their "exotic" dancers.  Proper rough I tell thee!

Me too.my old man used to work on wagons and we used to do the rounds collecting payment. Ninas, then off the Talbot. And if you were sharp, you could catch another one up the road.

 

You didn't want to be wearing glasses at any of them!

Me too....I made the point earlier about how nostalgic it made me feel, even though I have no association with the area.   Those dock area photos, though, remind me so much of Southampton's port area as it used to be.   Great posting, Mr Claim, enjoyed every picture.
