The Liverturds! FINAL UPDATE of old Merseyside pictures.

As an ASer with a Liverpool postcode I recently viewed DVD's of Boys from the Blackstuff.  The MOST interesting bit was the title sequence where the boys drive past the albert dock in an old transit.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c2eJ1J1rfPI  From about 1 min 9 seconds.

Looks somewhat different today

I'll lob some more up later if you want. Credit to the photographers concerned.

Oh, and if anyone has some time on their hands coupled with some extreme curiosity and fancies DVLA checking a few of the visible reg numbers I'd appreciate it.

That Tranny outside Goodison reminds me just how rough was considered normal for vans in the 70's and 80's.

It looks a lot like the vans that my dad used to hire from some dodgy backstreet company in Birmingham, once the sliding passenger door fell off one,my dad picked it up threw it in the back and told a 10 year old me to put the seatbelt on- very hot on health and safety ,my dad.

im not from that area in fact only been to Liverpool once for the flower show in 86 but loving the pics the ones of sky high transit brought back memories one question I do have when I was a kid I used to love watching bread and wondered whereabouts it was filmed and if you have any pics of that area

The only ones from this page that are legible and still have a DVLA record are the Chevanne and blue Mini, which both were last taxed in 1991.
