I have just received an new unsolicited registration document for one of my cars.

Divler is apparently issuing new ones to everyone. The enclosed Q and A sheet does not answer my first question:

Q. Why are you wasting money sending me this now when you could easily send it with my new tax disc?

or my second:

Q. Why bother changing the colour at all when the whole world can create them at home with an Epson?

Or my third:

Q. If you must send them out why not send them for all three of my cars at once?

why don't you send that as an e-mail to them? Sometimes it really gets their knickers in a twist.

Another pearl is credit card companies sending you applications unsolicited...just put their application forms in each other's freepost envelopes, not filled in off course.

Soon stops the flow of shite.

They should have been made to stump up the cash to compensate anyone that was ripped off by one of those.

 

It's time we had "pink slips" too seeing as they keep banging on about the registered keeper not being the owner etc.

I have also just received one for my landcruiser and while checking it over find that they have stated on the bottom non transferable reg, now i find this very strange as it is a personalised reg number and is not stated on the first document

so i would say when you receive your new v5 then check it properly as this is surelly a mistake

Whereabouts have they hidden that? If its in section 3 Special notes then mine is blank. If its elsewhere I can't see for looking.

In your case a quick phone call might do the trick, after all they make oodles of money out of transfers and are hardly likely to want to miss an opportunity.

mine is not blank it states

 

3. special notes (these notes cannot be removed)

1 declared new at first registration.

2 non transferable registration mark.

 

none of these where on the old v5 so no idea whats went wrong there. and as for calling them i think i will give it a miss as the plate was on the vehicle when i bought it so there it can stay until doomsday for all i care
