Mazda 323 *Now Gone, and with Arse picture!*

Ok....

With a heavy heart and a very bad bank balance, I'm going to offer the blue Mazda to (firstly) you lot.

I got it over a year ago from Retrogeezer on here, and a very clean machine it was! Since then, it was used as a very regular daily, and a family car in all weathers. As such, it's not the minter it was! It has a dent on the drivers side wing where some twunt bumped into me at the doctors. On the other side it also has a small dent - car park injury I suspect. It would be very very easy to pull out tho - although I couldn't figure out how!!

Since I got my transit, it's been in my garage round the corner - stuffed with bedding and nice and warm under many boxes and belongings. This is clearly a waste!

It's a great wee car, and never let me down once the whole time I used it.

Currently it's on sorn of course, and would need a jump to start (maybe a new battery?). Hasn't been out of commission for that long really and I left the handbrake off etc. The last time I started it was about a month ago and it started fine, albeit quite sputteringly etc! It just needs a run I guess.

The garage it's in is on a private road below a block of flats, so giving it a drive would be easy.

It's a Mazda 323LX in light blue, and has a fantastically blue dashboard and seats too.

Really would hate it to go to some mong or over the bridge, but go it must. Gonna give up the garage too y'see.

So. Basically - any offers?

:(

I should add, photos will follow when I can get up there in daylight and clear it all out etc.

This is well enough known to be snapped up. Not seen it in the flesh but from what i have seen on here it looked pretty good. Good luck with it.

Cheers Scotty! It is indeed a great wee car - just a shame about the dents on the front...

Posted

Yeh, top car this was for me, didn't let me down once in the 18 months I had it either. 2 years since you got it off me Chris, time flies eh!

Nice one Scotty - helps indeed!

Damn... Really don't wanna have to scrap this.

Stylish cheap reliable motoring for bridge money folks....

Bump..

Nice little car. Haven't got the space to take it on, GLWTS etc...What about the MOT? Does it have any? If not, why not try and get it tested? If you succeed, it'll both make it more saleable and keep it away from the bridge for a while.

great car this, I have owned it as well, I had it for a good few months or maybe a year before RG got it. I would say it was pretty indestructible!

I think it was one of my best buys of all time TBH!

You make it sound like the Autoshite bike, everyone's had a go!

GLWTS Bin, These are great little motors, Cheap to tax and run as well.

I know all this, was the original plan. But now things have gone to shit, and there is zero money. this month or next. Need to give up the garage, dump all the shit and sell car. This week.

Way it is.

Nope, no mot, but wouldn't take much to put it through for someone with cash. I ate dumpstered sandwiches at work today and yesterday.

That kind of skint.

bought ticket to nec today

going dublin twice in two weeks

else that money would buy this

(i am not happy - auntie marie has one of these for like 20 years but its a saloon IN the same colour) - they are unkillable - she lives up a mountain in the arse end of ireland and you know what the roads are like :D

WANT.

hope someone keeps it going looks good in the pics - dent? meh character :D

Blimey Chris, it needs to go this week?? That's not a lot of notice for folk is it. Can anyone local store it for a week or so for you to give someone more chance of seeing it is up for sale?

Have you tried oval chat? I mean if a car can't sell in under 24 hours on autoshite what hope is there? Miserable hat off

Posted

OffalChat is quite likely a good place to advertise it. It'd be a crying shame if this doesn't make it back on the road but if your needs must and all that.

Posted

I'd actually love that. I bet it'd make a lovely motor for winter.

If someone in my neck of the woods wants this - tell me, I could pop along and fetch it home on the A-frame after work I think, notts is pretty close to Derby. I would like to contribute to its continuing existence, but I cant really buy it as I have no money or room. PM me if this is any use to anyone.

Posted

I will see if anyone has anywhere to put it in Notts as have a lot of mates down there. Where are you at the mo Chris? Its a nice looking car, I am sure it will not get bridged. Have you punted it on RR yet? If you sell it to a 'known' face I am sure it will be saved.

Tis a massive need for instant money at the minute as well tho...

I'm in Sherwood...

Selling the car would sort me for a week or two y'see..

Damn you Northerns and your geographical isolation

Oo ... has this gone? could be just what im looking for... :)

Posted

Nopes - hasnae gone yet. In fact I still haven't had the headspace to up to the garage and sort it out a bit/start it etc. Hopefully going to do that this week...
