I have accosted the chap in Tescos a few years ago, and then through another dealer have heard it is becoming available, he is off back to France. There is me or...well, there is me that would be interested in it trade wise up here, so i am going to see the chap on Thursday night. The figure of £4k has been mentioned, and he still seems keen for me to view....... everything is crossed also, it is a 06 55 plate, so just misses the £450 tax band, which is nice.

kinkersaab Posted November 8, 2011 Author Posted November 8, 2011 im not saying £4k is all its worth, nor am i saying £4k will buy it, but £4k is how i see it, i dont do depreciation, i imagine these things might sink to the £2 to 3 k mark for rough ones, but as i see it, a good one in a good colour with sensible mileage will bottom out at about £4k, i might be wrong, but i have £4k for a C6 and this one has come along...I cant imagine there will be lots of non messing buyers beating his door down for it, he will want a no hassle sale and will want to keep it until the day he leaves, suits me fine....

I guess they dont sell well as the market for this sort of car brand new are still only buying anything german, do you think this will change soon as the german stuff is so common now and is starting to get the council estate cab rank image.

I really love the C6's looks, but was so disappointed with the interior.... a mismatch of random PSA bits. I'll probably still buy a petrol V6 when they're cheap enough. If you get it for £4k I wouldn't be surprised if you've shelled out the least for one in the UK so far. The guys on the French Car Forum will be after you with javelins.
