As above. Thats the actual chain of shops called Poundland. 300ml cans. I stocked up cos me landliner seems to be sprayed with it!!

Is this a rattle can for painting car wheels?

Yes - it's very dark though, and seems to be more glitter paint than metallic, but it's good for £1.

Hmm the stuff I bought from 99p shop (same make but earlier packaging/lable) was pale. Just tried it and its fine.

This is autoshite we don't worry about stuff like masking.

Only kidding, the best way is to deflate the tyre break the bead then mask up the tyre with masking tape and paper (you can do it fully inflated but paint coverage on the lip won't be as good) and masking tape the valve

And I was just beginning to think that silver tyres might look the dog's gonads.

Thanks for the info.

Currently having rust coloured wheels I was thinking of doing them white, bit like crap alloys. I have the silver paint now though...

I dont mask anything! The use of tyre dressing means the paint doesnt stick if wiped off quickly. Twin wheels are deep dish anyway so the rubber is away from the wheel.

Get a piece of thin cardboard - wrap it round so it sticks into the groove between the wheel and the tyre and then tape the two ends together. I've done this way for years and it's been great every time!

Use a 'sharpie' marker lid over the valve as well. ;)

I used to use one curved bit of card, and as I go around the wheel spraying just hold it over the tyre where you're spraying. Saves, oooh, seconds.

Use cheap washing up liquid to coat the tyre then wipe off when the wheel has dried.

This is the Poundland stuff.

I picked one up to try it - just on a spare 13'' steelie for now. If it's enough for that one I'll be happy.  The tin is only the size of a furniture polish, it says 300ml, but also 110g :?

The colour on the cap looks quite dark, as Station mentioned, but I'll give it a go this weekend and report back.

That tin should do four wheels! I had a 500ml tin of pol wheel silver and it did EIGHT wheels!!!
