So last Sunday I found myself going to the Ford show at the Battlesbridge Antique centre near Sa'fend, If your local and like Fords then this is the place to be, Sadly they crammed as all in a bit tight and parked me and my mates right in front of the burger van and we had people leaning on our cars and even had children standing on the bonnets

I know both of these. EJN inhabits a driveway near Shoebury station, in fact I didn't think it was on the road. VRJ comes from the same area, the driver has given me the thumbs up on a couple of occasions when he's seen me in my A55.

Great pics! I'm not really a Ford guy to be honest, but there's some cars there even I wouldn't kick out of bed. I wish they held Austin/BMC rallies at Battlesbridge, but you have to go oop North for those.

EJN had only just been bought by a mate of the other Cortinas, it's only done 63k and is a tidy old thing.

The lads been after it a long while until the owner of VRJ got bounced on by the owner of it in a supermarket car park last week, he gave Ã‚Â£900 for it which isn't bad.

I wasn't impressed, I never saw it luckily, a friend in another car watched it happen and told me, by the time he'd got out of his car the parent had noticed and got the kid off, and there was a Mk1 Woody there but i never photographed it as I've got loads of old photos of it already.

Thats a bit strong - the kid probably is unaware of the boundaries of etiquette when it comes to car show. I would suspect that kid has probably been 'dragged up' to date with no boundaries instilled. Thus, it should be the parents that are 'told off' - with or without the baseball bat.

Back in the day, when mark 1 Escorts were the car of preference for rallying and the works teams had the Mexico/2 litre scene stitched up we used to use '1300 screamers' which were in a different class because of the smaller engine. Still didn't win much silverware though.
