I don't want to start a debate about this but this Sunday it's the Pre '68 banger nationals at Hednesford.

 

If weather permits I might take W.T. Claim jr down there to see his first race.

It seems that this is a hot topic at the moment if reading the classic car press is anything to go by.

My opinion is that if what is raced is not nicked or can be restored then its fine and even dare i say nostalgic......i remember going to races in the 70s when i was very young.

I think that some peaple seem to think anything can and should be restored. Unfortunateley this is just not possible.. Having said this though i myself would prefer it not to happen but we have to live in the real world dont we.

unfortunatly driver david weare #86 was killed at hednesford on sunday while trying to get out of his car .

 

a sad day for every 1 involved in banger racing .
